It's no secret that actor Jonah Hill has lost a lot of weight over the past year. Until now, most people believed his "Moneyball" co-star Brad Pitt had something to do with Hill's suddenly svelte look. Not so. Hill, whose work in "Moneyball" earned him an Oscar nomination for best supporting actor, recently spoke with ABC News. Apparently, he lost weight mainly by eating sushi. "It was just mostly diet," Hill said. "I wish there was some crazy thing that I did, like a pill or a genie or something, but it was, unfortunately, I went to see a nutritionist, and he told me what to eat to change my habits and stuff." [ Related: Full list of nominees at Oscar.com ] An article in the U.K.'s Daily Mail points out that many people had speculated that Pitt's influence was what inspired Hill to shed the pounds. Hill, who was known for being a comic actor prior to "Moneyball," explained that his weight loss was also a function of his wanting to get more serious roles in his career. "I just had a moment in my life where I said I wanted to become a man," Hill said.

INDIANAPOLIS – It’s of little surprise that the Peyton Manning-Jim Irsay relationship would continue to splinter. Statements to the contrary, these two simply don’t appear capable of coexisting any more. They could have at least made it through the Super Bowl ceasefire though. Word broke Thursday, via ESPN, that Manning had been “medically cleared by two doctors” to resume his football career after missing the entire 2011 season because of a neck injury. The report eventually included an email from Dr. Robert Watkins, who performed a neck procedure on Manning, saying as much. (AP Photo) The news sent the football world into a tizzy over the potential ramifications. Would the Indianapolis Colts still draft Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck first overall in April? Would Manning become a tantalizing trade prospect and wind up on a contender? Where would he end up and in what kind of shape? Then Irsay, the Colts’ outspoken owner, snuffed it early Friday by tweeting: “Peyton has not passed our physical nor has he been cleared to play for The Indianapolis Colts.” And so on it went: Once more, the Colts and the future of their signature, sure-bet Hall of Fame quarterback becoming the talk of Super Bowl XLVI. So much for the pair’s joint press release last week that was intended to “dispel any misperception that there might be any hard feelings between us.” Manning and Irsay haven’t had many direct discussions of late but are scheduled to have dinner together (along with other NFL folks) at a pregame party Sunday. Who knows how that scene plays out. Irsay’s late night tweet, which came after he held a raucous 500-person party (guests included John Mellencamp, Meg Ryan and other celebs) at the Indiana Capitol, had the appearance of annoyance. It was a sharp rebuke of the “cleared to play …” angle that almost everyone assumes was leaked out of Manning’s camp – unless you believe Manning’s doctor would discuss his recovery without his patient’s permission. [ Related: Irsay tweet casts doubts on Manning’s progress ] Yahoo Sports first reported earlier in the week that even if he is “cleared to play” he doesn’t possess the strength to throw the ball with the necessary velocity. The entire thing could be just semantics in an ongoing soap opera. Perhaps most telling is that this is still the news of the day even as Indianapolis continues to excel at hosting its biggest event ever, a title game featuring no less than Manning’s younger brother, Eli, of the New York Giants against the New England Patriots. Couldn’t the “cleared to play” story have waited until next week – especially when there appears to be enough confusion that not even the Colts are acknowledging its accuracy? “Jim and I will talk at the right time,” Peyton Manning said on Tuesday. “[Right now] there’s nothing to talk about.” Manning also said Tuesday that he had spent the morning at the Colts’ practice facility in a very promising training session which included throwing to two Indy receivers, Anthony Gonzalez and Blair White. (AP Photo) “I’m having fun and I’m doing what I need to be doing,” Manning said. Other than that, he said the focus should be on the Super Bowl and the city of Indianapolis. “All the other talk,” Manning said, “it is what it is.” Well, apparently not. The fate of Peyton is of importance here both historically (he made this franchise matter with his arrival in 1998) and competitively (if he’s really healthy, all sorts of things could change). Everyone knows that, which is why as news drops out and the denials get sharper, the attention grows and grows. It is what it is, as Manning said. Irsay had already put Manning on blast last week when he ripped the quarterback as “a politician” for discussing the state of the Colts in the Indianapolis Star. Irsay felt Manning was trying to get fans on his side in case there is an eventual split. Irsay chastised Manning for not “keeping it in the family.” “If you’ve got a problem, you talk to each other,” Irsay told reporters. “It’s not about campaigning or anything like that.” By Friday morning, he was issuing pointed tweets and promising further press releases. They clearly hadn’t talked to each other about this news development.

It has been recommended that Halle Berry take her daughter to counseling sessions due to the on going battle between her and her baby’s father Gabriel Aubrey. It was just a few years ago, when Halle revealed that she wasn’t looking for marriage but she was definitely looking for someone who she could have babies with. Shortly afterward, Gabriel Aubrey popped up in her life but it wasn’t a ‘wam bam! thank you mam, thanks for my baby, you go your way and I’ll go mine’ situation. The two were involved in a public relationship, however after they parted ways, the many problems that started to arise over the baby and who would have custody has become more of a headache than if she would have just went to a sperm bank. Now she’s back in court again this week, attempting to obtain a restraining order against Gabriel to keep him away from their baby until a child endangerment investigation against him is resolved. She is claiming he put her child in danger when he pushed the nanny while she was holding Nahla. The judge, however, recommended that everyone should go to counseling, including Nahla so they could peacefully figure out how they will raise her. Gabriel reportedly rejected all of the recommendations including one that suggested he attend some anger management classes so they’ll be back in court again for a full hearing shortly. Who’s to blame in this on-going battle? Is Gabriel being spiteful? Or is it Halle, who has added this to her laundry list of bad relationships with men. According to Spearhead, a site dedicated to exploring men issues, the racial angle of the two raising an interracial baby is the underlying factor in their Made-For-TV child custody drama. Sadly, Berry’s vindictiveness is common amongst women following breakups with their child’s father. But in this case, the racial angle is contributing to tension. Although it isn’t a well-known fact, white fathers of children with black women face even worse odds than your typical father. The traditional “one-drop rule” that posits that all Americans with black African ancestry are strictly black tends to put a barrier between the father and child, because people assume that children should be raised amongst their own. This may be why one of the main points of contention between Aubry and Berry has been over whether their daughter is “black.” If so, as the tradition goes, then he has no real claim to the child. Last year in Ebony, Halle revealed that she considered her child to be black because she believes in the one-drop rule, however weeks later a story was leaked to the press that Gabriel would get upset any time someone would refer to his daughter as such. After those reports, the public battle between the two began to heat up and take a turn for the absolute worse. Halle seems as though she would love for Gabriel to be out of the picture completely, but she should know by now that you can’t just have a child and then deny the father his right to see or assist in raising her. No matter what the underlying issue is, this can not be good for a three year old. It’ll be even worse when she gets older and decides to google her own name. Source

Drake recently spit a single line that vibrated throughout the industry like an earthquake in his “Stay Schemin” record. The line went something like this: “Kobe about to lose one hundred and fifty M’s [Million}, Kobe My N—- hate it to have to be him, B—- you wasn’t with me shootin in the gym.” What seemed to be the most appropriate thing to say at the moment happened to backfire at Drake as the internet took this as a diss to Kobe’s recently divorced wife Vanessa. If you ask Drake, he’ll tell you otherwise… “That line came from a conversation about being this young and making this much money and the fear of losing it all. I just used his potential situation to address my own life. I never intended to offend Vanessa or anyone else. That line had everything to do with me and what goes on in my head as a 25 year old man with this much income flowing in. Kobe is and always will be a friend and an icon to me.”

According to The Washington Post: “Soul Train” creator Don Cornelius was found dead in his Los Angeles home early Wednesday morning. He was pronounced dead after the Los Angeles Fire Department transferred him to a nearby hospital, Officer Sara Faden of the Los Angeles Police Department told The Washington Post. Cornelius was 75. The cause of death was a self-inflicted gunshot wound said Los Angeles County Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter.

According to Whoo Kid, Kanye left the studio angry after a failed studio session involving Luda and shortly afterward he was involved in a crash that could have took his life: “It was me, Beanie Siegel, Kanye and 3H. We were all in the studio and Luda was in town. He f—–g came to the studio and was like, ‘I gotta go to f—-n’ L.A.X. so I gotta do the verse [quickly].’ So, what happened was, Kanye saw Luda and he’s a fan. So, Kanye goes in the booth and he’s rapping.[...]Like, he was rapping for like an hour. Luda didn’t know Kanye that well at the time so Luda was like, ‘What the f*ck is going on? I came to do this song. Yo, Whoo Kid, I’m here to do your sh*t. I’m out of here.’ I got nervous because I really wanted to get this sh*t done. I was like, ‘What? You leaving?’ I ran in there like, ‘What you doing, [Kanye]? Get out there and play that beat, yo!’ So Kanye’s looking crazy, you know, trying to impress Luda, but it wasn’t that time. Luda wanted to come in, do that verse and get the f–k out. So, what made it worse is he went out there and played a beat but by the time he got out there, Luda picked a Red Spyda beat. So now I gotta tell Kanye ‘Your services are not needed.’” “So, to smooth it out I told him, ‘You know what, I’m gonna film you — shooting you spittin’.’ That s–t was crazy. I don’t think I [liked his rhymes] at that time. Beyoncé is known as a performer, fashion designer, Jay-Z’s misses, and arguably the most famous new mom in the world. But should she also be considered a social change agent? Kevin Allred, a doctoral student and lecturer in Rutgers’ Department of Women’s and Gender Studies, where he teaches “Politicizing Beyoncé,” thinks so – though, he says, the artist may not be “political” in the traditional sense of the word. “This isn’t a course about Beyoncé’s political engagement or how many times she performed during President Obama’s inauguration weekend,” he says. Rather, the performer’s music and career are used as lenses to explore American race, gender, and sexual politics. Allred pairs Beyoncé’s music videos and lyrics with readings from the Black feminist canon, including the writings of bell hooks, Alice Walker, and even abolitionist Sojourner Truth. “Politicizing Beyoncé” emerged from Allred’s four semesters teaching Women’s Studies 101 at Rutgers, during which he and his students, both male and female, often discussed the thin line Beyoncé walks as a sex kitten-cum-girl power role model. “She certainly pushes boundaries,” Allred says. “While other artists are simply releasing music, she’s creating a grand narrative around her life, her career, and her persona.” Course topics include the extent of Beyoncé’s control over her own aesthetic, whether her often half-naked body is empowered or stereotypical, and her more racy performances as her alter ego, “Sasha Fierce.” In-class discussions often lead to other vocalists, including Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Lady Gaga, and contemporary musicians who embrace the soul singing tradition like Adele and the late Amy Winehouse. More academics are beginning to explore race, gender, and sexual politics through popular culture and bring such discourse into their classrooms. Georgetown University professor Michael Eric Dyson offers a similar course, “The Sociology of Hip-Hop: The Theodicy of Jay-Z,” on Beyoncé’s rapper husband. Allred welcomes conversation about the course, particularly from those who question the relevance of intellectual study of pop stars. “It’s important to shift students away from simply being consumers of media toward thinking more critically about what they’re engaging on a regular basis,” he says. “When students don’t respond to theory or dense readings, it’s often easier to see things play out in the world around them.” A folk singer/songwriter and owner of an independent record label, Gutter Folk Records, Allred was initially drawn to Beyoncé’s work after listening to her second solo album, B’Day. He notes a raw quality in the technical production of the album, over which Beyoncé is said to have had total creative control. “It wasn’t as polished as her first and subsequent albums,” Allred says of B’Day. “You can even hear her breathing on the tracks, which is normally edited out. I wondered, ‘Why would you record a vocal to stand out in that way?’” Allred’s desire to merge his passion for music traditions with his interest in the politics of race, gender, and sexuality in the United States emerged during his undergraduate and graduate studies. He holds two degrees in American Studies – a bachelor’s from Utah State University and a master’s from the University of Massachusetts Boston. As a doctoral candidate at Rutgers, he is currently writing his dissertation on the ways black female performers manipulate their vocal qualities, including tone, timbre, and pitch. Growing up a white gay male in a relatively homogenous community in Utah, Allred spent a lot of time in the library. There, he discovered black feminist texts, including the works of Audre Lorde, Octavia Butler, and Toni Morrison. “Their work resonated with me in ways that other content hadn’t,” Allred says of the black feminist scholars. “I found myself identifying with their writing because racism, sexism, homophobia, and privilege are larger systems under which we all operate.” Allred only assigns his students writings by black women for “Politicizing Beyoncé” as black feminism is an academic discipline replete with identity politics. “Of course, there are people who’ll say, ‘You’re not black. You’re not a woman,’” he says of his research and teaching interest. “It’s something I’m always questioning and staying aware of so as not to overstep any bounds or make any claims for a group that I don’t belong to. It’s a fine line and I want to remain respectful of that.” Source

We all know Chelsea doesn’t bite her tongue for anyone: On if 50 Cent was the First Black Guy She’s Dated No, I dated black guys in high school and stuff. I’ve always had a little thing for black guys. I really don’t know what it is, but I think it runs in my family. My dad likes black women. I inherited the gene. Black guys are very, very masculine, and I really like that. That’s the aspect that I like. I like guys that are in charge. On How She Was Pursued by 50 Cent: This is how it started, he was on my show. He was cute, and you know I flirt with all the cute guys on my show. And I thought he was just adorable. Then, he started sending me flowers but ridiculous amounts of like 50 white roses, and it was like laughable. I was like, “Get these out of my office! This is so embarrassing.” Then he started to call my office, and my assistant was like, “50 Cent is calling and I swear I think it is him.” And I’m like, “Oh, my God.” So I got on the phone, and he’s not like a grammatical genius and it’s kind of like silly. You should’ve seen some of the texts he used to send me. I’m like, “This is so stupid.” He said some silly line, but it was very cute and I was like, “He’s sweet. He’s not carrying a gun right now.” I was going to Nashville I think to do a show; I was on tour for my last book. I said, “I’m going to Nashville.” He said, “I was in L.A, and I was trying to get a hold of you, but I’m in New York now.” I told him, “I’m going to Nashville this weekend,” and he said “Can I meet you there?” I was like, “Yeah, why not?” So he came to Nashville to my show. Then, we had sex. Then, he moved to L.A because he was tape recording so we kind of saw each other for a few of months. We went out. We dated. We had sex. My friends all loved him. My friends fell in love with him. They we’re like, “This huge gangster guy is like the sweetest.” So we dated for a couple months. And this is the best part, he was going to come with my family, because I was going to Anguilla, to go to Christmas vacation, and I go someplace every year with some of my family. He had met my family in Newark–he would come to see a lot of shows, and he would come and meet me a lot of places. On Why They Broke Up: It was so dumb. it’s almost embarrassing. I really can’t remember the exact the details, but I’ll tell you what I can remember. I think one of his ex-girlfriends was coming on my show and she’s one of those singers -I can’t remember her name. She’s really hot. He was dating her I guess previous to me. Right before Anguilla, Ciara–that’s her name!–was coming on the show, and he called me to tell me something about her like she still calls him all the time, and she still tells him that she loves him or something. And I’m at my job, and I go “Curtis, honestly this is like eighth grade sh*t. Why are you telling me this? This girl is coming on the show tomorrow, and now I have to look at her and think you guys have some weird thing going on or had going on.” It was so juvenile. I’m at my work and I work my ass off all the time, and I have million different things and even though it’s not like important work, I am working hard. I’m doing sh*t. He said, “I want you to hear this conversation” and he was like calling someone like a 3-way phone call. I go, “So you’re telling me this girl wants to get back together with you, but she’s upset that you’re dating me, is that what you’re saying?” He’s like, “Yeah, so I just want you to know when she comes.” I think I called him the worst thing you could say to a black person short of calling him the N-word. I said something like you’re like a street person basically. Something along the lines of being a gangster, and it was really, really offensive and I hung up and I’ve never spoken to him again. Did he try to call you after that? When I told my friends what I said they were like, “You will never hear from him. This is like a proud black man you basically tore apart and put to shame.” We were going to Anguilla. He had his ticket, and he was coming. I was going with my family and I kept saying, “I wonder if he’s going to just show up” and they’re like “No, Chelsea he’s not going to show up. He’s never going to speak to you again. You totally insulted him.” I don’t remember the term I used, but it was equivalent to saying you’re a street person. Did you say he was ghetto? I said something like that. I said, “You have no business even talking to someone like me,” and it was very mean. Obviously, he never showed up to Anguilla, which is actually better because he couldn’t swim, so I didn’t understand why he was coming in the first place. When you went over his house there was a lot of black people and you were the only white girl? Yeah, he was renting a house in Hollywood and I live in Los Angeles, so he was renting a house. He was doing an album. He’s very clean cut, and I don’t know if he was lying to me but he doesn’t do drugs, he doesn’t even drink alcohol, he doesn’t smoke pot, he doesn’t do anything I like. I thought that was refreshing, and I was like “Oh, that’s fun.” I smoke pot once in a while. But yeah I’d smoke around him, but he never wanted to. There’s always someone around me that’s got pot, so it’s not like that hard to come by. He’s actually a lot different than you would think. He’s very sweet. He’s really sweet. He’s got this great big smile and his energy is just –he’s like a big black teddy bear and you just kind of want to jump on him On having sex with 50: The sex was okay. It was just normal. It was fine. It wasn’t mind blowing … I’ve had much better sex with other people, but it was good. On if she saw herself being in a long-term relationship with 50: First of all, I really try to avoid dating another celebrity because I feel like that world is just a mess. It’s just not real and it’s very hard to maintain a relationship when you’re married or get involved with another celebrity. It’s fun for a little hook-up, but it’s not ever going to be something serious … but I definitely didn’t have sex with 50 cent for attention. He’s said nice things about me and I have nice things to say about him because I do think he’s a really nice guy and smart in a certain way. It was obviously not going to be a long-term relationship. New York rapper French Montana hit up HOT 97fm and spoke with Angie Martinez about a certain beef everyone seems to be talking about in hip hop. Angie asked him about Drake’s verse on “Stay Schemin” getting at Common and the Chicago rapper’s immediate reply. “With them you gotta look at it like it’s hip hop, it’s competition, it’s good for the music,” French said. “I think Drake wanna fight. He said he can’t wait to run into him.”

Try to straighten it? Awkward!" And despite her current fame, all those Grammys, lots of big paychecks (oh, and even a Vogue cover, her "awkward" past is still hard to shake. "I think who you are in school really sticks with you," Swift admits. "I don't ever feel like the cool kid at the party, ever. It's like, Smile and be nice to everybody, because you were not invited to be here."

Common recently chopped it up with Chicago’s 107.5 WGCI radio station this morning where he spoke on all things “Canada Dry,” check out an excerpt from the interview directed at Drake. I think he makes good music. He’s definitely said some real clever things and made some cool songs. I like his music. I don’t think I had anything to prove. I just felt like somebody stepped and challenged me, so I had to step into the ring. He said some things that I thought were directed at me, so I had to address it back. I feel like I said what I had to say, and I’m just going to let it be at that point. Now, if something else happens, then I’ll just have to act accordingly. But right now, I feel like, man, I said what I needed to say about this situation on record. It’s nothing like, ‘Oh man, it’s so personal.’ It’s just the art of rhyming, man. The art of rhyming! Common also hinted that he wouldn’t hesitate to bring Kanye West and his G.O.O.D Music family into this battle with YMCMB if it comes down to it… “If it had to get to teaming up, I’d get my squad too, you can’t forget G.O.O.D music, Kanye and the brothers.”

Kyla will not let the blogs throw her man under the bus. She was recently on Wendy Williams addressing rumors and marriage. On hiding her pregnancy: I wasn’t trying to keep it a secret, I just decided that I wasn’t going to announce anything. I have a lot of girlfriends in the industry who have had babies already and they deal with so much negativity whether they were married or not married [or] with a guy. I just didn’t want to deal with that. I feel like being pregnant is supposed to be the happiest time of your life. People were like ‘Why are you hiding it?’ and I’m like, I wasn’t hiding anything. Let’s just get this out of the way up front — Kobe Bryant is not as good as Michael Jordan. That may frustrate a handful of the Kobe apologists out there, but the fact is he is not, and that is not about ring count. Jordan was superior on the court. But if you can compare anyone, it is Kobe. Just ask MJ. Roland Lazenby is one of the better basketball book writers out there. His book “The Show” is maybe the best thing on the history of the Lakers, and his Jerry West biography is a brilliant study of the man. He wrote “Mad Game” about Kobe and numerous other books. He’s a friend of Tex Winter with great insight. And he’s working on a Michael Jordan book now and has spoken to the man. Which led to this interesting couple of tweets from Lazenby recently. Kobe’s ultimate competition is MJ. That’s why MJ watches him. MJ made people think what he was doing wasn’t human. Ditto the Kobester. I never said Kobe was better than MJ. MJ just told me Kobe’s the only one to have done the work, to deserve comparison. MJ gets it. There have been far too many “the next Jordan” guys to come through the league, an unfair burden put on a lot of players. Kobe is the only guy with the will and the skill to even come close. Kobe and Jordan are cut from the same cloth, both driven to compete, to win, to do whatever it takes to get there. Their will and drive stood out in the ultra-competitive NBA. The pastor at Beulah Hill Baptist Church in West End, NC tells TMZ, he discovered the vandalism yesterday after receiving numerous complaints from locals — and removed it immediately. I love Cara Lewis :-) . I love being back at my fashion office learning and creating. It’s so challenging and fun and I’m surrounded by amazing people. They say you only live once but every time I come to work I feel like I’m starting a second life. You guys might think I have some type of backing for my line but I don’t. I did the first fashion show out of my own pocket and used the money I made touring to follow my passion. I’ve been working at this for 8 years now. From the first offers to do urban clothing lines that I turned down…to begging Bape to do my line and never making any real headway…to having an office in LA that was shut down after the “MTV” moment along with my tour with (Lady) Gaga. I moved to Japan for one month after that and designed every night in my room. I had this opportunity to intern at Fendi and was also offered a position at Versace which I could not take due to my contract with LV which was for 2 years. I moved to Rome after I left Japan and worked at Fendi for 4 months undercover. I was there to give ideas for the men’s collection. I snuck to Giuseppe Zanotti’s factory still under contract and learned to design womens shoes for 2 years before my first show in Paris. After doing the first LV collection I was sure I would get a second shot to create but was never given the opportunity. I designed a sneaker called the (Air) Yeezy with Nike. I’m “allowed” to design 1 pair of sneakers every 2 years. I have more ideas… Early 2011 I moved to Paris and opened a small design studio. The language barrier was quite difficult. I still don’t have a Paris VAT number to this day. I don’t know what a VAT is but every time I asked why we didn’t have fabrics they said it was because of the VAT. In Paris I met many great people in design including the master Azzedine Alaia. Azzedine even came by my studio one day :-) . This was the greatest feeling to stand in his presence in my embarrassingly small Paris studio in a courtyard opposite Collate. I remember being 5 years old picking and my mother taking me with her shopping at the discount fur spots. She said I would always point to the most expensive furs, even as a child. LOL. There is something about making clothing that always brings me back to that point. For the first 16 or 17 years of my life the only thing I knew about women’s clothing was what my Mom would wear. I guess some critics would joke that I still don’t know anything. LOL. My Mom would wear blue jeans with a fur and an embellished “Cosby Show” sweater :-) to pick me up from school. The teachers said I couldn’t focus. I used to get kicked out of class for bringing dirty magazines and drawing Nike’s in 4th grade. Being a celebrity has afforded me many opportunities but has also boxed me in creatively. I was just discussing becoming the creative director for the Jetson movie and someone on the call yelled out, “you should do a Jetsons tour!” This just happened a few hours ago. I was very insulted of course because for anyone that’s seen the Watch the Throne Tour, Coachella, Glow in the Dark or Runaway know that I have real ideas. I appreciate having the most nominations at the Grammy’s but I feel so conflicted by the fact that award shows sometimes are completely illogical. Good logic tells me “smile Kanye”, the world likes you again. “Red or blue pill?”…aaaaand Swallow. LOL. I wouldn’t have the prestige I have if it wasn’t partially for the Grammy’s validation and I honor that. Hmmmmm, what to wear? Here I go again… Yeezy the trend setter or complete f*cking fashion victim…the verdict is still out. This is just a train of thought but I figure it’s better to read than trained thoughts. What good is fame and prestige if you can’t use it to help people? I want to help by doing what I know how to do best…create. I have started a new company and I’m so excited about the name…it’s got the best name ever…of all companies…of all time!!! The name of the company is DONDA. DONDA is a design company which will galvanize amazing thinkers and put them in a creative space to bounce there dreams and ideas. I used to blog all the time an fit was a way to get my opinion out. Dr Dre redesigned headphones and made more impact off of one product. I am assembling a team of architects, graphic designers, directors musicians, producers, A&Rs, writers, publicist, social media experts, app guys, managers, car designers, clothing designers, DJs, video game designers, publishers, tech guys, lawyers, bankers, nutritionists, doctors, scientists and teachers. DONDA will be comprised of over 22 divisions with a goal to make products and experiences that people want and can afford. I want to put creatives in a room together with like minds that are all way doper than me. We want to help simplify and aesthetically improve everything we see hear, touch, taste and feel. To dream of, create, advertise and produce products driven equally by emotional want and utilitarian need.. To marry our wants and needs…DONDA. This will all take time but I wanted everyone’s to know what I really care about…I care about people…I care about my fans…I care about people who have never heard of me…There are over 7 billion people on the planet now…It’s something about coming from music that makes me so optimistic. Music travels and is not limited to only the wealthy. Sometimes my grammar is wrong but my thinking is right :-) . My mom was an English teacher so I know she sends an SMDH from heaven :-) . 5:18 am in London, my dreams keep me woke. The Watch the Throne tour was a small example of what a DONDA experience can be… I’m currently working on a new 7 screen experience… This is one of our projects to be released this year called 2016 Olympics…It’s semi sci-fi, since 2016 is only 4 years away, :-) . We would also like to design the MTV awards. We’re taking everything 10 steps at a time, LOL! I wanted to put this in the world, in hopes that the people who can actually make a difference will stand up and reach out. We need as many amazing powerful smart talented wealthy people to be involved. Come get on board…don’t just sit there…reach out. We can collectively effect the world through design. We need to pick up where Steve Jobs left off. When I said wealthy I wanted to point out there are so many billionaires in the world that can come together and help to redesign it and help education. School systems were designed to turn people into factory workers. Schools should be designed to prep human beings for real life. Spike Jonze and I want to do a Summer school that tries new forms of curriculum. Math classes should teach addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, accounting and money management aaaaaand cut!!! UNLESS YOU’RE A MATH MAJOR!!! Kids you should be able to take majors starting in grammar school like how it is at performing art schools. Instead of kicking kids out of schools for using their iPhones…why not promote it? Allow kids to use search engines to do test…like the real WORLD!!! Give kids the amount of test they would have in a year in one day but they have to get everything perfect…please excuse my grammar…I know it’s extremely ironic. Some kids have better memories than others…what about emotional IQ’s? What about kids who do bad in school because of how bad their surroundings are? Excuse me…I just get excited at the possibilities…the more excited I get the more grammatical errors you’ll see… We need to take what Michael Jackson felt and Mcqueen and Steve Jobs, and we need make things better. When me and Jay toured, every night I peered into the audience astonished by the different walks of life that came to support us. The adrenaline is running…I don’t know if I can even get to sleep now. From Wall Street to the London riots to Chicago murders…I sit everyday and ask what can I do to make a difference. I know this is not a very rapper thing to say but I haven’t bought a new car or piece of jewelry in about 2 years. I invest every dime back into creativity, hiring amazing creatives, paying for flights, offices…etc. My area of expertise is in music, my passion is in music, design, film and products…my strength is connectivity… There are so many broken systems from the economy to school systems to jail systems…we need experts for this.
