According to MTV, his Deeper Than Rap will debut at #1 on next week's Billboard Top 200, according to numbers provided by Nielsen SoundScan.

Hip-hop icon Jay-Z says that President Barack Obama's election marks a decline of the "gangsta" image in the black and Latino communities.
The rapper and businessman made the comments during a wide-ranging interview with Cigar Aficionado magazine.
"Obama represents so much hope for blacks and Latinos," the rapper told the magazine.

Rapper DMX is checking himself into rehab. Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew is the hit series, which will enter its third season. Pro wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, embroiled in a bitter divorce with his wife, Linda, told Rolling Stone magazine he can "totally understand" O.J. Simpson, the former football great found liable for the deaths of his wife and another man.
"I could have turned everything into a crime scene like O.J., cutting everybody's throat," Hogan said in the interview for a feature that will run in Friday's edition of the magazine.

FORT MYERS, Fla. - A passenger landed a twin-engine plane in Florida after the pilot died in flight with a total of six people on board.
Federal Aviation Administration officials say the pilot died after takeoff from an airport in Naples on Sunday. It was on autopilot and climbing toward 10,000 feet when the pilot died.
The passenger who took over is licensed for single-engine planes but isn't certified to fly the larger King Air craft.
An air traffic controller helped the passenger down by calling a friend in Connecticut who knows the King Air plane and relaying instructions. The plane landed safely at Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers.
The plane had been headed to Jackson, Miss. The names of the pilot and passengers have not been released. Source: Yahoo

As of right now this is still rumor but I'm hearing that Lil Bow Wow sold just 18,586 units in the first week of New Jack City II's release. To put this in perspective for you, that's like 981,414 less than what Lil Wayne did with Carter III in its first week. That's a tremendous failure. An album's first week is usually the strongest for sales so it's just downhill from here. I've seen artists with higher numbers than him get dropped for not having strong sales. Source: Drew Reports

This is a big responsibility, a wonderful platform and I just want to make sure I take every advantage to serve as a role model, to provide good messages, to be a supportive mate to the President and to make sure that my girls are solid."
