Iron Man, Spider-Man, X-Men.......meet Mickey Mouse!

The Walt Disney Co. today announced that it had agreed to acquire comic-book giant Marvel Entertainment, creator of such characters as Iron Man and Spider-Man, in a cash-and-stock deal worth an estimated $4 billion.

The acquisition would give Disney access to a library of more than 5,000 characters - several of whom have inspired major films for other Hollywood studios. Marvel, meanwhile, gains the clout of Disney's ability to take a popular character and make money on it through films, television and licensed merchandise.

"We believe that adding Marvel to Disney's unique portfolio of brands provides significant opportunities for long-term growth and value creation," said Disney President and Chief Executive Robert A. Iger.

Under the deal, Disney will acquire ownership of Marvel, including its more than 5,000 characters.  Ike Perlmutter, the comic-book company's chief executive officer, will oversee the properties and work directly with Disney to build and integrate Marvel's properties.

Iger has shown a willingness to make key acquisitions to bolster the company. In 2006, he negotiated a $7.4-billion deal that brought Pixar Animation Studios, the creator of such successful films as "Toy Story" and "Cars," in house.

1. Felony Probation for 60 months and must obey all laws.
2. Report to Probation within 72 hours
3. 52 Weeks of a Domestic Violence Program in Virginia.
4. Must turn in all weapons within the next 24 hours and can NOT own any weapons during that period.
5. Must Provide DNA Samples as Requested by the Authorities
6. 180 Days of Community Service (HARD) Labor... washing cars, cleaning graffiti off the walls, etc.
7. Get approval before leaving the country.
8. Report to a court room every 3 months for the next 5 years.
9. Fines and Fees: $2,500 in restitution, $2,500 in probation expenses, $30 for criminal conviction fee and $400 for the domestic violence fund.

Last But Not Least...

10. The Protective Order for the next 5 years: Brown is not allowed to harass, assault, threaten, molest, etc. Rihanna. No direct contact nor 3rd party contact with her. He must stay at least 100 yards away from her unless it is an entertainment (work) related event, then he must stay 10 yards away.

If Chris Brown violates any of thee above, the judge is going to put him in jail without thinking twice.

Judge Patricia Schnegg told Chris during the sentencing:

"I am not the one to ever believe in any hear say or anything else but I am not immune from chatter on the airwaves. Any set violation of the protective order is a violation of your probation... Even though you have probation, remember this is a felony and it does come with potential of state prison if you should violate in any way the terms and condition of this probation or pick up any new case. Do you understand, I just want to myself perfectly clear."

According to many sources, Michael did not have a heart attack:

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles County coroner has ruled Michael Jackson's death a homicide, a law enforcement official told The Associated Press, a finding that makes it more likely criminal charges will be filed against the doctor who was with the pop star when he died on June 25.

According to the document, Murray said he'd been treating Jackson for insomnia for about six weeks with 50 milligrams of propofol every night via an intravenous drip. But he said he feared Jackson was forming an addiction to the anesthetic, which is normally used in hospitals only, and was attempting to wean his patient by lowering the dose to 25 milligrams and adding the sedatives lorazepam and midazolam.

That combination succeeded in helping Jackson sleep two days prior to his death, so the next day, Murray told detectives he cut off the propofol - and Jackson fell asleep with just the two sedatives.

Then around 1:30 a.m. on June 25, starting with a 10-milligram tab of Valium, Murray said he tried a series of drugs instead of propofol to make Jackson sleep. The injections included two milligrams of lorazepam around 2 a.m., two milligrams of midazolam around 3 a.m., and repeats of each at 5 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. respectively.

Murray told detectives that around 10:40 a.m. he gave in to Jackson's "repeated demands/requests" for propofol, which the singer referred to as his "milk." He administered 25 milligrams of the white-colored liquid, - a relatively small dose - and finally, Jackson fell asleep.

Murray remained with the sedated Jackson for about 10 minutes, then left for the bathroom. No more than two minutes later, he returned - and found Jackson had stopped breathing.

Jackson's family released a statement Monday, saying it has "full confidence" in the legal process and the efforts of investigators. It concludes: "The family looks forward to the day that justice can be served."

Janet Jackson is writing a tell-all book on the passing of her brother Michael Jackson - the King of Pop. According to In Touch Weekly, "She is going to talk about Michael's death and how it's affected her and his children and the rest of the family," a publishing industry insider close to Janet's book deal.

"A lot of it will focus on her battle with self-esteem and weight," a friend says. "She's a huge success, but that's not always what she has seen when she looks in the mirror, so the book will talk about how she has coped, and about her family relationships. She wants to help other young women out there."

An insider claims the two split because Ashanti was ready to settle down, while her beau wanted to sow his wild oats. Sure enough, the "Hot in Here" rapper has been squiring video vixen Jessica Rabbit around Las Vegas and Miami. A rep for both declined to comment.

They've been apart for a few weeks now. And Nelly has already begun dating other people, but Ashanti isn't holding up so well:

"Ashanti is really broken up over losing [Nelly] ... But her friends and family are helping her get through it."

"To get her mind off [the break up], Ashanti's been spending all her time working on music... now she may even be able to release an album before year's end."

California based Radio station, Power 106, caught up with Rapper Lil Wayne to speak on some very interesting topics. Ok seriously, the only thing we wanted to hear was Lauren London baby talk. Here's what he had to say:

After weeks of "MYSTERY/BIG ANNOUNCEMENT" messages coming from Bow Wow's Twitter and Youtube pages, the Ohio-based rapper has finally revealed being the newest addition to the CA$H MONEY Record label.

"People have been wondering where I've been," the rapper said in a video. "For the past days, I've been here, keeping away from all human contact. Thinking. Strategizing my next move. I'll come out of hiding when it is time. This is a new me. A new look, for now. This is all you see. The mystery continues."

That's GREAT to hear about Bow Wow. His addition to Lil' Wayne's army of Drake, Omarion, Nicki Minaj and others will definitely be a major pump to Hip Hop's damaged heart.

IT IS OFFICIAL!!! HE'S BACK....

Quarterback Michael Vick has signed a two-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles, his agent, Joel Segal, confirmed to ESPN.com.

Vick was the No. 1 draft pick in 2001, and once the highest-paid player in football. But he has not played since 2006 when his career came tumbling down. He was convicted in August 2007 of conspiracy and running a dogfighting operation, sentenced to 23 months in federal prison and suspended indefinitely by the NFL.

And here's how the story ends....

GRETNA, La. - Clad in an orange jail jumpsuit and with shackles on his hands and ankles, rapper Corey "C-Murder" Miller stood silently as he was sentenced to life in prison on Friday for the shooting death of a teenager in 2002.

District Judge Hans Liljeberg gave Miller the mandatory life sentence, days after a jury convicted the rapper of second-degree murder.

Miller was convicted of shooting 16-year-old fan Steve Thomas at a now-closed nightclub in Harvey after a confrontation during a rap contest.

"We still cry every day for our baby," Dolores Thomas said, weeping. "We never got to see him graduate, go to the prom, get married. We won't have a grandchild to love."

Thomas's father, George Thomas, said holding in the pain of his son's murder led to a heart attack which left him in intensive care for four months. Then he turned to address the Miller family and friends in the courtroom directly.

"I'm sorry for you, but you can see him," he said. "You can talk to him. What do we have? All we can look at are photos and a grave."

In Louisiana the sentence does not allow probation or parole.

Miller was fingerprinted after the sentencing, then surrounded with guards and taken immediately to the Elayn Hunt Correctional Center in St. Gabriel, 13 miles south of Baton Rouge.

Miller has been in jail after pleading no contest to two counts of attempted murder in a separate altercation at a nightclub in Baton Rouge in 2001.

Miller and his brothers - Percy "Master P" Miller and Vyshonn "Silkk The Shocker" Miller - used to rap on Percy Miller's now-defunct No Limit Records, a popular label for Southern rap through the 1990s.

Actor Nia Long has teamed up with PETA to encourage people to be comfortable in their own skin and to let animals keep theirs by baring it all in a sexy ad.

Nia believes that "all things that have been given life deserve to live life," and she proves to her fans that she is committed to the cause by posing naked on the subway train with a tagline that reads, "I'd rather go naked than wear fur."

Nia joins a long list of gorgeous celebrities who have posed for PETA's iconic anti-fur campaign. She says, "In being a responsible adult and really understanding what happens for one fur coat and how many animals are killed and slaughtered for one fur coat, it just isn't worth it to me."

Animals who are raised and killed for their fur endure tremendous suffering. Foxes, minks, coyote, and rabbits-and even cats and dogs-are bludgeoned, electrocuted, and often skinned alive for their fur.

Sara Stokes, the lead singer from Diddy's original "Making the Band" reality show, is now singing a sad tune after she allegedly stabbing her husband while her children watched!

This bloody mug shot was taken after Stokes was arrested for domestic violence August 2 at their home in Moreno Valley, CA.

According to law enforcement sources, Sara stormed out of the house after arguing with husband Tony - she tripped, fell down and accused him of doing it.

We're told Sara - who hurt her head in the fall - grabbed a knife and stabbed Tony in the arm - while their 3 kids watched.

Paramedics and cops came and Stokes was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and domestic violence. The D.A. is deciding whether to charge her.

Sara's lawyer, Eric Kayira, tells us, "Sara and Tony have a very passionate and loving relationship that on August 2, while having an evening of fun, she slipped and fell, hitting her head heavily on the ground and somehow in the process of helping her Tony got injured."

According to Bossip, a new documentary titled Kiss and Tail features some of Karrine's victims. They came together to tell all! This is what her ex-friend Norwood had to say:
