The folks at Rocawear just sent over a collection of Mattel Barbie dolls inspired by Rocawear’s upcoming 10th-year anniversary. Although we don’t have complete details about the partnership between Mattel and Rocawear, we do have some cool photos of both male and female Barbie’s. As you can see, the dolls are freshly dipped in Rocawear apparel.

Blackstreet singer Teddy Riley’s 18-year-old daughter Taja Riley has been granted a temporary restraining order against her famous father after he allegedly attacked her and her older sister with a Rock Band video game guitar. The order request, filed and granted in Los Angeles County Superior Court, accuses the singer of “stomping, punching and bashing” his daughters on December 23 and then lifting a Rock Band guitar and threatening to kill them with it, according to a TMZ report. The report also states that Taja suffered “bashes to temple, contusion on face” and “pain in knee.” Source

After getting beat down by the Cleveland Cavaliers on Christmas day, Los Angeles Laker’s forward Ron Artest decided to drown his sorrows in some alcohol. Unfortunately he had too much to drink, fell down a flight of stairs and suffered a concussion! Artest suffered the concussion Christmas night, telling Lakers officials he fell down a flight of stairs while carrying a box. His agent said it happened an hour after the Lakers lost to Cleveland. Artest was treated and released at the UCLA Medical Center emergency room. GOOD ONE Ron! In other NBA dummy news, Washington Wizards’ Gilbert Arenas was caught with a gun in his locker… “The Washington Wizards have learned that Gilbert Arenas stored firearms in a locked container in his locker, unloaded and without ammunition,” the Wizards’ statement read. “The Wizards organization and Arenas promptly notified the local authorities and the NBA, are cooperating fully with law enforcement during its review of this matter and will have no further comment at this time.” A person close to Arenas said that he brought the guns to Verizon Center to keep them away from his children. Word is that Jay-Z and Beyonce are planning change their names in respect to their Marriage and individual star power. Jay-Z would be known as Shawn Knowles-Carter, while Beyonce wants to be called Beyoncé Knowles-Carter. A source close to the couple said: “They want to keep Knowles because Bey’s parents didn’t have any sons and they’re keen to keep the name going strong, especially if they don’t produce any sprogs themselves. Or if they end up just having girls.”

Mary J Blige held her album release party at M2 Lounge a few days ago and some drama went down: According to a few sources, Mary J. and her husband Kendu started arguing after Kendu had Mary’s brother kicked out of the VIP section. Some say Mary punched her husband in the face, while others say Mary’s Brother beat up her husband. Either way, her husband got punched in the face by someone. In the end, Kendu also got escorted out of the club. Speaking of beating, anyone remember Susan Boyle? The Scottish singer who came to international public attention when she appeared as a contestant on Britain’s Got Talent? A woman accused of telling the Secret Service she would “blow away” Michelle Obama was in federal custody Tuesday as the Obama family planned to travel to Hawaii. Kristy Lee Roshia, 35, was charged with threatening a family member of the president and assaulting a federal agent after being arrested Saturday less than two miles from the Kailua home where the Obama family planned to stay during a holiday visit later this week. Roshia called the Secret Service’s Boston office last month and told a receptionist, “I will kill Michelle Obama” and “I will kill Marines,” according to a Secret Service affidavit. During the same call, she said she would “blow away” Michelle Obama, the document states. A message left at the federal public defender’s office in Honolulu was not immediately returned. Roshia has a history of leaving rambling messages and sending poems, love letters and photographs of herself to the Secret Service, according to the affidavit. Source

Things are looking real good for the KING! Atlanta rapper T.I., born Clifford Harris Jr, has been released from an Arkansas federal prison. He is said to be reporting to Dismas Charities Atlanta West correctional center tonight, where he will spend the remaining three months of his sentence. T.I. was sentenced to 366 days in prison after federal agents caught him attempting to purchase three machine guns and two silencers, back in October of 2007. The rapper, who faced up to 10 years behind bars, had given almost $21,000 in cash to a bodyguard who had illegally purchased as many as 25 guns on behalf of the Atlanta rapper just before the BET Awards. Actress Brittany Murphy was pronounced dead this morning. Brittany Murphy died on Sunday morning, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office has confirmed to Access Hollywood. She was 32. According to the Coroner’s Office, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Hollywood reported to them that an individual named Brittany Murphy died in the hospital on Sunday. A Cedars-Sinai spokesperson also confirmed to Access that the star was pronounced dead at their facility at 10:04 AM. A Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman told Access that they responded to a 911 call made from the 1800 block of N. Rising Glen Road — the same street where the actress lives — at 8 AM on Sunday. A rep for the actress also confirmed the news, telling Access Hollywood, “In this time of sadness, the family thanks you for your love and support. It is their wish that you respect their privacy.” The LAPD confirmed to Access later on Sunday that they have opened an investigation into the star’s death. Just weeks ago, a smiling Brittany spoke with Access at the Tt Collection Pop-Up Party in LA on December 3, where she discussed her hopes for the coming year. “As far as having a New Year’s resolution, I’d love to have a child next year,” she said at the time. “But that’s kind of a large one!” The actress also spoke of her love for her family, whom she said she was very close to. “I’ve been very blessed to have a really great loving husband,” she said. “I spend more time with my family than anyone else in the world” Brittany rose to fame after a memorable role in 1995’s “Clueless.” She went on to star in such films as “8 Mile,” “Just Married,” “Girl, Interrupted,” “Sin City” and “Riding In Cars With Boys,” among others. She also made a splash in the music world with the track “Faster Kill Pussycat,” with Paul Oakenfold in 2006 - the track topped the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play Chart that year. UPDATE: Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry died today from injuries suffered when he was thrown from the back of a moving pickup truck during a fight with his fiancee. Henry was 26-years-old. ***** According to FoxSports, Chris is in serious condition: Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry is on life support after falling out of the back of a pickup truck in North Carolina, a source has told FOXSports.com’s Alex Marvez. The source described the situation as “dire.” Henry was found in the road about eight miles north of downtown Charlotte “apparently suffering life-threatening injuries,” according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police. Henry was transported to Carolinas Medical Center, the local trauma unit, but spokesman Scott White said he was not listed in hospital records and had no other information. Police said a dispute began at a Home just before noon and Henry jumped into the bed of the pickup truck as his unidentified fiancee was driving away from the residence. Henry was found on a residential street about a half mile away from the home when police were called to the scene after a medic report that a man was down. A woman who identified herself as the fiancee’s mother but declined to give her name told the Charlotte Observer that Henry and his fiancee had been staying at her house while he was on injured reserve and they were making plans for their wedding. She said she wasn’t home at the time of the dispute and wasn’t sure exactly what happened, but she said her daughter is at Henry’s bedside at the hospital. “We ask everyone to pray for Chris,” agent Andy Simms of PlayersRep Sports said in a statement. “We also ask that you respect the privacy of Chris’ family. Chris is indeed battling for his life tonight, and our thoughts and prayers (are) with him during this extremely difficult time.” Henry is engaged to Loleini Tonga, and the couple has been raising three children.

The estimated time when whites will no longer make up the majority of Americans has been pushed back eight years to 2050. Census Bureau figures released Wednesday update last year’s prediction that white children would become a minority in 2023 and the overall white population would follow in 2042. The earlier estimate did not take into account a drop in the number of people moving into the U.S. because of the economic crisis and the immigration policies imposed after the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks. The 2050 estimate is one of four projections released that is based on rates for births and deaths and a scenario in which immigration continues its more recent, slower pace of adding nearly 1 million new foreigners each year. Demographers said that scenario offers the best look for now at the future demographic makeup based on current conditions, rather than other models which assume higher rates of immigration. The United States has 308 million people today; two-thirds are non-Hispanic whites. The total population should climb to 399 million by 2050, under the new projection, with whites making up 49.9 percent of the population. Blacks will make up 12.2 percent, virtually unchanged from today. Hispanics, currently 15 percent of the population, will rise to 28 percent in 2050. Asians are expected to increase from 4.4 percent of the population to 6 percent. The point when minority children become the majority is expected to have a similar delay of roughly eight years, moving from 2023 to 2031. The population 85 and older is projected to more than triple by 2050, to 18.6 million. Under a purely theoretical “zero immigration” scenario in which the U.S. effectively does not take in any immigrants, whites would remain the majority in 2050, making up a solid 58 percent of the U.S. population. In such a case, the share of Hispanics would increase to 21 percent because of high fertility rates and a younger population. Source

Real name Dwayne Carter was sentenced to a year in prison yesterday! The New Orleans rapper is going to serve some time in prison from the incident with the NYC police back in October 2007. He pleaded guilty to second degree attempted gun possession and is going to be sentenced on February 9, 2010! It’s been said that he’ll be shipped out that same day. He will serve 366 days in prison. The beleaguered R&B artist has shut down his Twitter account, a day after microblogging his butt off about Walmart and other big-box haters not stocking his new album. Which he shouldn’t really have worried about, because Walmart is, in fact, carrying Graffiti. And apparently, displaying it prominently. “We are surprised at the comments online,” read a statement released by the store today. “All Walmart stores nationwide have carried the CD since its release, including the Wallingford, [Conn.], store mentioned in the post. This store actually sold through its initial shipment over the weekend. The majority of our stores today are showing they do have copies available.” Brown tweeted yesterday: “JUST WAS AT WALMART IN wallingford CT,844 north colony.. the didnt even have my album in the back… not on shelves, saw for myself…we talked to the managers and the didnt even know anything. wow!!! but they had Alicia Keys album ready for release for this tuesday comin…no disprespect to alicia at all.. just givin an example to whos album is loaded and ready to go next week.” Yes, how dare the manager know all about the upcoming album release from 12-time Grammy winner Alicia Keys! Word is that Dwight Howard is suing the mother of his child and former Orlando Magic cheerleader for slandering his GOOD NAME on the Internet. He wants 9.2 MILLION! In documents released by WFTV in Orlando, Howard’s attorneys are seeking $9.2 million in damages and custody of their 2-year-old son. The suit alleges that Royce Lyndsay Reed, or associates of her, posted disparaging comments made directly or indirectly against Howard. Among those comments, posted on a Web site called “Lipstick Alley” titled “the ‘real’ Dwight Howard????” are such remarks as: “He hasn’t shown up for his scheduled visitation in…three months but loves his son? … “Royce is gorgeous, and a class act. The new girl is trash” … “So apparently he hits ladies…what else? … “He has another baby in Atlanta. Pays for ladys [sic] home, and keeps it in his cousins name.” These comments could have a negative effect on Howard’s career, his attorneys claim, particularly undermining his endorsement deals and relationships with various companies. They would like to be awarded $500 per remark posted online multiplied by the 17,410 times they have been viewed, adding to the $9.2 million in damages, reports WFTV. Source

Well, despite people’s shock and confusion, Christina and The Dream made it official via a Vegas chapel wedding (the same chapel Britney Spears in 2004 said her “I Do’s” in only to say “I Don’t” a few hours later) and then made it official once again in Rome. The photo is of their second wedding that took place in Rome, Italy. Christina wore a dress by Monique Lhuillier while The Dream wore a unique styled tux by Alexander McQueen according to US Weekly. There is another wedding ceremony in the works for Christina and The Dream. Christina says that the third ceremony will be the biggest of the 3. But for now the two are just planning for the arrival of their new baby that is due in February 2010. Source

The 60-odd guests at the ’20s-themed fete included Kanye West and girlfriend Amber Rose, Sean Combs and Kim Porter (sidebar, they reported Kim as Diddy’s girlfriend… when did that happen), Alex Rodriguez and Kate Hudson, Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys, Warner Music chief Lyor Cohen and designer Tory Burch, plus DJ Cassidy, who DJ’d for the party. Diddy gave a toast and Jay-Z’s friends also put together a video saying how much they love him. The festivities featured synchronized swimmers, fireworks and an impromptu performance of “Empire State of Mind” by Jay-Z and Keys. Sources say the whole thing lasted until 5 a.m. the next day. Beyoncé capped the celebration off with a lobster surf-and-turf brunch for guests at the luxury villa where she and Jay-Z were staying. Sounds like good times. It’s CONFIRMED!!! Manny Pacquiao has signed a contract to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. in boxing’s biggest fight on March 13, a source with knowledge of the meeting told ESPN.com on Friday night. Pacquiao and promotor Bob Arum met for two hours Friday to discuss the proposed deal, according to Pacquiao adviser Michael Koncz, who told The Associated Press that “Manny has some additional requirements, requests, which Arum didn’t think was a problem. “The requests of Manny were so realistic that Arum doesn’t feel it’s a problem and it’s pretty much a done deal,” Koncz said.
