With the Aaliyah biopic in production, buzz has spread across the Internet about "baby girl" playing a possible love interest to both Jay-Z and Dame Dash igniting their ongoing feud...

Former best pals and business partners JAY-Z and DAMON DASH fell out over their love for late R&B beauty AALIYAH, American producer/director CHOKE NO JOKE has suggested.

Roc-A-Fella Records co-founders Jay-Z, Dash and Kareem ‘Biggs' Burke parted ways in 2004 after a number of disagreements.

Jay-Z took control of the established rap label and later went on to become president of Def Jam, while Dash and Burke formed their own imprint, DDMG (Damon Dash Music Group).

However, filmmaker Choke No Joke insists the bitter relationship between Jay-Z and Dash extended beyond business and spilled over into their personal lives.

He alludes to the pair both enjoying close relationships with singer, actress and model Aaliyah, and that Jay-Z became unhappy when Dash started publicly dating her in late 2000, up until her untimely death in 2001.

He tells Hip Hop Weekly, "Both Jay and Dame was involved with a certain R&B singer, who I'm not gonna say her name out of respect 'cause she ain't around to defend herself, but I believe that was a part of the initial friction.

"I was seeing Jay with her back around 2000, then Dame was with her after. All you have to do is look at the movie they did, Death of a Dynasty. In the movie they were fighting over a model. In real life she was a model, but singing is what she was known for first." Rumours of a romance between Jay-Z and Aaliyah were never confirmed; the hip-hop superstar is now married to R&B beauty Beyonce Knowles.

Kelly Rowland has decided to split ties with her now former manager and father of friend Beyonce Knowles, Mathew Knowles...

In a statement released on Wednesday, Mathew said:

"After a very positive meeting between Kelly Rowland and myself, we have amicably agreed to end our professional relationship. My company, Music World, will continue to manage Destiny's Child as a group. As an artist Kelly has incredible talent and I only wish her the best. We will always be family first and foremost and as a dad I can only have love for Kelly."

Kelly also released a statement:

"Matthew Knowles has been a positive influence in my career. I have had great success under his guidance-both as a member of Destiny's Child and with my solo projects. Altough we have decided to part ways professionally, the Knowles family and the entire Music World Entertainment team will always be my family."

According to James L. Nederlander, "I love the idea of making ‘Thriller' a musical. Girl meets boy, they fall in love, boy has big secret, now what..."

According to the press release, the musical take its plot from the actual music video, a "horror film spoof in which a young couple are out on a date on a beautiful full moon evening, when suddenly the young man, played by Jackson, turns into a werewolf."

The musical will also feature songs from both Jackson's Off the Wall and Thriller, so you can pretty much expect to see "Billie Jean" and its sidewalk that lights up when you step on it at some point during the production. Michael Jackson will also reportedly be a part of the creation of the musical in some capacity.

"Marvelous Malia" and "Sweet Sasha" may do well in retail stores but don't bring that sh*t around Mrs. Obama!

Michelle Obama was so perturbed by the dolls, she issued a statement through her spokeswoman, Katie McCormick Lelyveld.

"We believe it is inappropriate to use young, private citizens for marketing purposes," the statement said.

The cuddly creations from Ty Inc. - called Marvelous Malia and Sweet Sasha - had one psychologist using the word "sickening." They are being heavily marketed on the company's Web site.

"The only people this benefits is the people making money off it," said Charles Figley, a psychologist and Tulane University professor of social work, referring to Ty, which has already made billions off its Beanie Baby craze.

Taraji P. Henson earned her first Oscar nomination as Best Actress in a Supporting Role in the film"The Curious Case of Benjamin Button." The Washington D.C. native attended Oxon Hill High School and is a graduate of Howard University's School of Theatre Arts. She made her film debut in "Baby Boy", directed by John Singleton, in 2005.

Mashonda, the ex-wife of Swizz Beatz has recently confirm that his "rumored relations" with Alicia Keys are true indeed!

Last September, Swizzy told US Magazine that the rumors were "harmful" and that he was "disappointed" in all the gossip.

"I am disappointed that some have chosen to try and tarnish Alicia's reputation by irresponsibly implicating her in a situation that she has absolutely nothing to do with," he said.

However, in a brand new interview on Sirius' Shade 45 show, Lip Service, Mashonda addressed the alleged adultery committed by her hubby Swizz Beatz, confirming previous rumors that superstar Alicia Keys caused a rift in their relationship.

There were rumors that Mashonda had found credit card statements that matched dates and cities on an Alicia Keys' tour, and it seems to be true.

"That's a true statement, but that wasn't the first," Mashonda said with a laugh, when asked if the credit card findings were the first indication that something was wrong.

According to the singer, she had sensed there was a problem in her relationship with Swizzy before. And, this is why she searched for an answer.

"It's not like I wake up, and I have to snoop," she said. "It's if you recognize - and this is for anybody, a man, woman, whatever - if you recognize a dramatic change, and you're asking ‘What's the problem?' and you're not getting an answer, you're just gonna have to [find out for yourself]."

Today is not only a NEW DAY. It is a new beginning...

Barack Hussein Obama took the oath of office today as the nation's 44th president - and the nation's first black chief executive - and told Americans shaken by economic despair and war that shared sacrifice would be required to draw the nation back to prosperity and peace.

"Our time of standing pat, of protecting narrow interests and putting off unpleasant decisions - that time has surely passed," Obama declared in a ringing inaugural address. "Starting today, we must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and begin again the work of remaking America.

"For everywhere we look, there is work to be done," he said, ticking off needs in the areas of the economy, energy, education and myriad other fronts. "All this we can do, and all this we will do."

Obama's day was replete with the emotion of the past - the son of a white Kansas mother and a Kenyan father took his oath from Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. on the Bible used by Abraham Lincoln more than a century ago.

In legal papers, she alleges he abandoned his children, committed adultery, and infected her with an unspecified sexually transmitted disease. She wants the names of "all of his sexual partners" during their six-year marriage.

Dwyane petitioned for the divorce last May in Cook County, Ill. They wed in Chicago on May 18, 2002.

Dwyane's Windy City attorney, James Pritikin, issued a statement: "These malicious allegations are absolutely false and we look forward to the opportunity to dispute them in court."

Dwyane turns 27 on Saturday. He and Siohvaughn, 27, have two boys, Zaire, a first-grader who will be 7 next month, and Zion, 1. Siohvaughn moved back to Chicago with the kids last year.

From Siohvaughn's pleading: "Dwyane has dissipated substantial sums of marital property including . . . buying his mother a $2 million church; placing substantial sums of money in an account with another woman; providing numerous friends and family members with unfettered access to accounts with hundreds of thousands of dollars of marital funds from which they made substantial withdrawals . . ."

Meanwhile, she says, he cut her off financially.

Dwyane, named a "Father of the Year" in 2007 by the National Father's Day Committee, has gone "months" without seeing his boys, Siohvaughn says. His "failure to spend time with them . . . has resulted in the children at times being afraid of him; in fact, Zion . . . does not recognize or know Dwyane." She wants sole custody, and support.

She also says she has suffered "grievous physical, emotional and mental injury" from the STD, diagnosed in the fall of ‘07. (The infection is not HIV or a "killer thing," sources say.) Dwyane and his "paramour or paramours" are liable, she alleges.

‘Dwyane must disclose the identity of all of his sexual partners during the parties' marriage," says her counter-petition, prepared by attorney Michael J. Berger of Chicago. Siohvaughn has another Chicago lawyer, Dorene Marcus.

Says Pritikin: "It is sad that an obviously angry and bitter woman will go to any lengths to publicly damage Mr. Wade."

Siohvaughn speaks the truth, Marcus insists. "A person's public persona does not necessarily reflect his behavior in private," Marcus adds. "Mrs. Wade is prepared to prove everything she alleges. And, medical records don't lie."

Barack Obama wrote a letter to his two daughters a few days before he was elected to become the next President of the United States of America. Check out the following snippet...

ESSENCE.COM: Overall, are you content with the film?

EVANS: I am happy. I can't say there aren't some discrepancies within the film because it's not like I was a creative partner in the film. Of course, there are things that I know aren't correct. For instance, a particular song might not have been out when a certain incident occurred. The people who are watching won't know but those of us who lived it will. A perfect example is the one scene in the studio with me, Lil' Kim and Biggie-I don't remember that happening and it might have been tension between them that I was unaware of, and it happened when we were separated. I didn't know that happened before. No matter what your walk in life is, you get to know B.I.G. through his words. The footage from the day of the funeral was one of my favorite scenes because I was right there in the limo, and although there is no footage of Ms. Wallace inside the car, Angela Bassett captured her exact look. It was powerful. Seeing all those people who were out there for Biggie that day made it more of a celebration. It was a perfect ending to that day.

Lil' Wayne may have been playing Guitar Hero while on that lean a little too much...

According to up-and-coming Canadian hip-hop artist Drake, Lil Wayne has been hard at work on a rock-oriented follow-up to last year's blockbuster Tha Carter III. "Wayne's coming out with a new album, it's a rock album. A complete rock album," Drake said, before explaining his new direction was partially inspired by Kanye West's ambitious new record, 808s and Heartbreak.

To celebrate the upcoming inauguration of Barack Obama, Marvel is proud to present an all-new story teaming up one of the world's most recognizable political figures with the world's greatest super hero as President-Elect Obama joins Spider-Man in "Spidey Meets the President!"

Written by Zeb Wells with art by Todd Nauck and Frank D'Armata, the story takes place in Washington, D.C. on Inauguration Day and finds one of Spider-Man's oldest foes attempting to thwart the swearing in ceremony of the 44th President of the United States.

"When we heard that President-Elect Obama is a collector of Spider-Man comics, we knew that these two historic figures had to meet in our comics' Marvel Universe," says Marvel's Editor-in-Chief Joe Quesada. "Historic moments such as this one can be reflected in our comics because the Marvel Universe is set in the real world. A Spider-Man fan moving into the Oval Office is an event that must be commemorated in the pages of Amazing Spider-Man."

Voletta Wallace, the mother of late rap legend The Notorious B.I.G., recently spoke to ESSENCE Magazine about seeing a side of her son she has never known. This of course came after watching the "Notorious" biopic film of the rapper. She also went to mention that she wanted to reach out to Lil' Kim about her relationship with Biggie...

"There were things about him that I never knew that I wanted to see for myself on film. I saw a side of my son that I heard of but I haven't accepted ... I'm angered by certain things, disappointed and shocked. So this film taught me tolerance and to be less critical ... I would love to speak to Lil' Kim, because I need to ask more about this love relationship because I really didn't like the way he treated her and I'm praying that that's not it. Only she can answer those questions. She's a sweet girl and I didn't think she deserved to be treated the way he treated her, if that's the case."Lil Kim recently voiced her disappointment in the upcoming biopic, even going as far as saying she would expose Ms Wallace and Biggie's wife, Faith Evans.

Suge Knight is on the verge of being KNOCKED OUT of the music business for good...

According to the New York Post, Suge's violent reputation and thug image has possible investors worried about taking up stock in the label which Suge lost to bankruptcy in 2006.

"Some people don't want to go near the catalog because they think Suge still believes it's his" an unidentified source told the Post.

Death Row's catalog, which features rare unreleased tracks from Tupac, Snoop and other former Death Row Label artists, was supposed to have been sold in a 2006 auction to indie label Global Music Group, but the deal collapsed after allegations began to surface that Suge was withholding portions of the catalog.

On top of Suge's current bankruptcy and losses, there seem to be claims that he might be stashing legitimate evidence to the murders of his former employee and friend, Tupac "2Pac" Shakur!

Internet reports claim Knight has at least two completed albums from Tupac and undisputable evidence of who murdered him all locked in a panic room safe on the property.

A member of Knight's former street gang said, "Suge knows who shot Pac...he has proof but them nigga's paid Suge off".

While DMX sits in his jail cell, his Arizona home was sold off by the banks! And to CRACK more into his situation, thieves have found their way into his home and have taken everything except the kitchen sink!

According to AZFamily.com, thieves have stolen every in the home from quads to furniture, while windows and doors were blown out by police and never fixed.

"The place was glamour and when they split up, nothing got taken care of," Andrew Wheeler, an Arizona real estate agent, told the news channel. "I think people showed up, walked the house and took what they wanted."

Nas - Be A Ni**er Too

Lil' Kim recently chatted with Hip Hop Weekly where she slammed The Notorious B.I.G.'s mother, Voletta Wallace, and the late rappers wife, Faith Evans, for their involvement in the upcoming biopic of the rappers life entitled Notorious.

Kim is a bit upset for what she sees as an inaccurate depiction of herself in the film.

"I've had enough and I'm about to expose them both... I've been quiet for a long time. I'm very disappointed in Faith," Kim told the hip hop tabloid this week. "There's nothing Faith or Ms. Wallace could do to stop me from reppin' B.I.G. all day. I'm gonna always do that... It's time for Ms. Wallace to be exposed."

Former girl group member Naturi Naughton plays Kim in the film and acknowledged that she was not able to speak with Kim personally regarding the role. "I worked really had to capture the essence without having her at my side to help me,". "I was intimidated by how she seemed secondary in Big's life...always being rejected. The emotions that it took to go there [were] really tough," she said.

Notorious is set to release in theaters everywhere on January 16th!

Charles Barkley was arrested the other day under suspicion of DUI... and for his grown man habits!

The Arizona Republic is reporting that Charles Barkley told police he was in a hurry to go have sex when he was arrested early Wednesday on suspicion of DUI. The Republic quotes a police report that says Barkley made the comment while being processed by police in Phoenix area.
