According to CBS News, Wright’s death has turned out to be a homicide: Memphis police say they are investigating the discovery of a body believed to be that of former NBA player Lorenzen Wright as a homicide. Although police have not yet confirmed the identity of the body, relatives of Wright have told the Associated Press that the remains found in a wooded area in southeast Memphis are his. The 34-year-old Memphis native disappeared July 19, and was reported missing by his family on July 22. Prior to the discovery of the body, police had said they didn’t suspect foul play However, in a statement obtained by CBS affiliate WREG, the Memphis Police Department state it has “some of the finest homicide investigators” working on the case and will release further details when “available and appropriate.” Wright’s sister, Adriane Harris, told The Memphis Commercial Appeal that Wright had been out of touch before, but “not to this extent.” The 6′11″ Wright played in the NBA for more than a decade for five different teams. According to Entertainment Weekly, Enimen is still winning in album sales. Rick Ross is right behind him. Eminem just rode to a fifth straight week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album sales chart, selling another 187,000 copies of his Recovery according to Nielsen SoundScan. Scoring a big opening number is hard enough these days; sustaining such high sales for more than a month is rarer still. Rick Ross, the man whom some expected to end Em’s chart reign, missed the mark by just 11,000 units in the end. Ross’ Teflon Don debuts at No. 2 with a solid 176,000 copies sold. That’s actually a bit higher than his chart-topping Deeper Than Rap did last year (158,000), so hopefully Ross is celebrating somewhere today even though he had to settle for second-best. Surprised that first-week Rick Ross couldn’t quite beat fifth-week Eminem? Who do you think will finally knock Em out of that No. 1 spot?

Singer Wyclef Jean is considering a run for president of Haiti but has not decided whether to seek a five-year term as leader of the quake-ravaged nation, the musician’s family said Monday. There have been rumors for some time the Haitian-born entertainer might enter the 2010 presidential contest, ever since his 2007 appointment as ambassador-at-large for the Caribbean nation by President Rene Preval, who cannot seek re-election. In a statement e-mailed to reporters, the family said, “Wyclef’s commitment to his homeland and its youth is boundless, and he will remain its greatest supporter regardless of whether he is part of the government moving forward … If and when a decision is made, media will be alerted immediately.” Source

TMZ has learned …. Christina Milian’s husband — The Dream – filed for divorce nine days before she gave birth to their only child. According to documents filed in Georgia and obtained by TMZ, The-Dream — aka Terius Nash – claims the marriage is “irretrievably broken.” The-Dream filed his papers on February 17, but the docs never surfaced until we found out. Milian gave birth to their only child, a daughter, on February 26. In the divorce docs, The-Dream declares, “There is no hope for reconciliation.”

Swizz Beatz is currently hard at work on his music with a very talented group of people. “I’m working on my album which is super incredible,” he tells OK!. ”Got everybody on there from Jay-Z to John Legend to Mary [J. Blige] to Drake. Super amazing album. I’m also working on Lenny Kravitz new album, working with Cold Play.” Alicia isn’t featured on just one song, Swizz Beatz will be picking his favorite. “On one song she just played keys on,” he explains. ”I don’t know, cause I don’t know which one I’m going to use. Ron Artest is throwing a party….A FCUK LEBRON PARTY! I am going to have to have a sit down with these athletes about letting these club promoters just using their image and name for any and every party they are throwing they get free access to. We already have seen how this has caused Michael Vick some trouble and there have been many incidents where an athlete name has been attached to something they have absolutely nothing to do with, but when something goes down they are held responsible. Hello world… I’m good. Counting the days and still smiling. Most of those smiles come from hearing my kids’ voices over the phone. The others come from reading fan mail. Let me just say that I have the best fans in the world! The devotion, dedication, support, love, and most of all, prayers are simply the best. I never imagined that I could have such an impact on people’s lives. Because of this, I vow to be a bit more careful of what I say. So I’ve been writing and let me be the first to tell you that the lyrics that I’m writing are… well there’s no word that I can think of that properly defines them. Amazing would be too typical and perfect would be unfair. I listen to the radio sometimes, emphasis on sometimes, and I hear the new music. I like some. I applaud my Young Money family for what they’re doing. As I’m not surprised. This is what we’re supposed to do. Congrats to Drake and Nicki for all their recent success. Those 2 are going to have me retiring early. I love my team. Much love to Tez and Mack. I know that people are inquisitive of what I do all day, so here goes. I wake up around 11AM. Have some coffee. Call my kids, and my wonderful mother. I then shower up. Read fan mail. Have lunch. Back on the phone. Read a book or write some thoughts down. Have dinner. Phone. Pushups. The Rev. Jesse Jackson blasted the owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers Sunday for treating Miami-bound LeBron James like a “runaway slave.” The civil rights leader slammed owner Dan Gilbert for calling James “disloyal” and “a coward” in an open letter to Cavaliers fans. “He speaks as an owner of LeBron and not the owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers,” Jackson told The Associated Press. “His feelings of betrayal personify a slave-master mentality. He sees LeBron as a runaway slave.” Moments after James, 25, who was born and raised in Ohio, announced in a hour-long ESPN special Thursday that he was going to South Florida, Gilbert ripped his former franchise player. “You simply don’t deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal,” Gilbert told Cleveland’s long-suffering fans on the Cavaliers Web site. Gilbert called James “narcissistic” and “heartless.” He even put a hex on the two-time NBA MVP, writing “the self-declared former ‘King’ will be taking the ‘curse’ with him down South.” Jackson described Gilbert’s lambasting of James as “mean, arrogant and presumptuous” - and an insult to NBA players who choose to exercise their labor rights. “LeBron is not a child, nor is he bound to play on Gilbert’s plantation and be demeaned,” Jackson said. “He has been a model citizen and has inspired the children of Akron, Cleveland, the state of Ohio and the United States.” Source

LeBron James has announced that he will sign with the Miami Heat. The two-time NBA MVP will join stars Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, both of whom committed to the Heat on Wednesday, to form a fearsome trio in Miami. James made his choice during a live broadcast on ESPN. “I think the major factor and the major reason was the best opportunity to win, and to win now, and to win into the future, also,” he said during the announcement. “Winning is a huge thing for me….
