Word on the net is that Kim Kardashian was dumped by Reggie Bush because of her sex tape with Ray J?!
“Reggie’s mom just could not get over the fact that Kim had a sex tape. Reggie and his family are very conservative, and he told Kim that a marriage is never going to happen between them because of the tape.”
Sources say that Kim is hurting bad over this breakup as if it wasn’t for her raunchy past, she would have still kept Reggie.
“She’s still crazy about him. If she didn’t have the sex tape, she could have been Mrs. Bush,” the source added.

Jill Scott speaks on interracial dating:
My new friend is handsome, African-American, intelligent and seemingly wealthy. He is an athlete, loves his momma, and is happily married to a White woman. I admit when I saw his wedding ring, I privately hoped. But something in me just knew he didn’t marry a sister. Although my guess hit the mark, when my friend told me his wife was indeed Caucasian, I felt my spirit…wince. I didn’t immediately understand it. My face read happy for you. My body showed no reaction to my inner pinch, but the sting was there, quiet like a mosquito under a summer dress.
Was I jealous? Did the reality of his relationship somehow diminish his soul’s credibility? The answer is not simple. One could easily dispel the wince as racist or separatist, but that’s not how I was brought up. I was reared in a Jehovah’s Witness household. I was taught that every man should be judged by his deeds and not his color, and I firmly stand where my grandmother left me. African people worldwide are known to be welcoming and open-minded. We share our culture sometimes to our own peril and most of us love the very notion of love. My position is that for women of color, this very common “wince” has solely to do with the African story in America.
When our people were enslaved, “Massa” placed his Caucasian woman on a pedestal. She was spoiled, revered and angelic, while the Black slave woman was overworked, beaten, raped and farmed out like cattle to be mated. She was nothing and neither was our Black man. As slavery died for the greater good of America, and the movement for equality sputtered to life, the White woman was on the cover of every American magazine. She was the dazzling jewel on every movie screen, the glory of every commercial and television show. She was unequivocally the standard of beauty for this country, firmly unattainable to anyone not of her race. We daughters of the dust were seen as ugly, nappy mammies, good for day work and unwanted children, while our men were thought to be thieving, sex-hungry animals with limited brain capacity.
We reflect on this awful past and recall that if a Black man even looked at a White woman, he would have been lynched, beaten, jailed or shot to death. In the midst of this, Black women and Black men struggled together, mourned together, starved together, braved the hoses and vicious police dogs and died untimely on southern back roads together. These harsh truths lead to what we really feel when we see a seemingly together brother with a Caucasian woman and their children. That feeling is betrayed. While we exert efforts to raise our sons and daughters to appreciate themselves and respect others, most of us end up doing this important work alone, with no fathers or like representatives, limited financial support (often court-enforced) and, on top of everything else, an empty bed. It’s frustrating and it hurts!
Our minds do understand that people of all races find genuine love in many places. We dig that the world is full of amazing options. But underneath, there is a bite, no matter the ointment, that has yet to stop burning. Some may find these thoughts to be hurtful. That is not my intent. I’m just sayin’.

Reggie and January sitting in a tree…..
Kim Kardashian is reeling from the apparent end of her relationship with Reggie Bush and now she’s headed for more heartbreak because a new report claims Reggie cheated on her.
Reggie spent the night at his Hollywood Hills house on March 16 with January Gessert, a blonde waitress at the Sagebrush Cantina in Calabassas, California – and there are photos to prove it!
The charges and photos are in the new edition of the National Enquirer, and when a reporter approached Gessert she denied knowing Reggie.
But when pressed about spending the night at his house, she said she knew him from TV!
The night in question began with Reggie and a pal at Red Rock, a bar-restaurant on Sunset Strip.
Reggie and his pal were at a table with January and another woman and before long they all went back to Reggie’s house. Gessert was photographed leaving at 7 a.m.

The author behind “Unmasked: The Final Years of Michael Jackson” is tackling the King of Pop’s last days for the bigscreen.
Author-filmmaker Ian Halperin is behind “Gone Too Soon,” an 88-minute documentary about Jackson that is culled from 300 hours of footage shot inside the singer’s camp.
Shine Intl., which holds global distribution rights to the doc, will unveil “Gone Too Soon” at next month’s Mip TV confab in Cannes. Pic is set for a theatrical run in Canada and France, via Transit Medias, on June 25 — the first anniversary of Jackson’s death.
Halperin wrote “Unmasked,” which hit No. 1 last year on the New York Times’ bestsellers list, after spending five years investigating Jackson.
Footage in “Gone Too Soon” includes video and audio of Jackson shot before his death. It also includes interviews with Jackson’s personal manager, chef, spiritual adviser, hairstylist, trainer, protective agent and attorney.
According to the filmmakers, Jackson family members were not involved but are aware of the film. Family attorney Brian Oxman is among the interviewees.
Despite its depiction of the more scandalous aspects of Jackson’s life, Halperin called the movie “a balanced tribute to the King of Pop.”
“This is the film Michael and his fans deserve,” Halperin said.
Shine Intl. president Chris Grant said the doc would “eventually be known as a really important piece of the Michael Jackson saga.”
“Ian’s done an incredible job telling the story of what actually happened to Michael,” Grant said. “We’ve teased it a bit and the reaction has been tremendous.”
Halperin reported in December 2008 that Jackson was in weak health — and was quoted in a celebrity mag at the time predicting that the pop star would be dead within six months.

Monica on break up

Two weeks ago, Monica revealed on Twitter that she and Atlanta rapper Rocko, her fiancée of five years, had broken up. While prepping the release of her fifth album, Still Standing, Monica opened up to VIBE recently about the break-up and why she used Twitter as her medium.
The following series of messages posted to her account, @Monicamylife, on March 11:
“Thank you everyone for all the love your sending. @Rocko4Real is a great father and we will continue to love and parent our children . The rest is a private matter between @Rocko4Real and I. He is a good person. We all make mistakes. Even seperated we will always be family…”
The couple had been together off and on for 10 years and have two sons together.
“I chose Twitter as a forum to say what I felt at that time because there was no other way for me to say it once,” Monica told VIBE. “Had I been on radio, had I been interviewed, it would’ve been over and over again. That was just a quick way to say, ‘I know what’s taking place on the Web sites. I want you to know that I’m okay.’ But it really is a private matter. You just lose the privacy once you become an artist. So I’m not upset about it in any way.”
Prior to the announcement, rumors floated that Rocko had been cheating on the singer, 29, who said she was aware of all the hearsay and felt confused with what was happening.
“It was a situation I didn’t ask to be in, so to speak. Once something is put up on a Web site and things about your personal life are spread all around, it’s unfortunate,” said Monica. “I don’t even know specifically who they spoke to, but I do know that I never felt so… I guess the word would be confused more than anything else. If you go to sleep and you wake up and you see something for the first time, it’s a little scary, you know. I’m too grown now to go investigating leads. The reality is that I have to play my position as their mom and do what it is that’s best for me.”

Tiger Woods spoke with ESPN for the first time since all the drama happened:
“I was living a life of a lie, I really was. And I was doing a lot of things that hurt a lot of people. And stripping away denial and rationalization, you start coming to the truth of who you really are and that can be very ugly,” he said.
Sex addiction therapy:
“When you face it and you start conquering it and you start living up to it, the strength that I feel now. I’ve never felt that type of strength,” he said.
On his comeback:
“I’m excited to get back and play. I’m a little nervous about that to be honest with you. It would be nice to hear a couple claps here and there.”

Good news for fans of the former CW sitcom ‘The Game.’
Sources close to the production tell BV Buzz that Black Entertainment Television has struck a deal with ‘The Game’s’ parent company Paramount to develop new episodes of the popular series.
When The CW canceled the show in May of last year, the contracts with the shows stars Tia Mowry, Pooch Hall, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Hosea Chanchez, Brittany Daniel and Coby Bell weren’t optioned and ultimately expired on June 30, 2009.
Now BET has to negotiate new contracts with the actors, which is expected to be done within the next two weeks.
“The show will have the same production value, so the actors will make the same type of money they made when they did ‘The Game’ for The CW,” the source shared.
There is a conflict now with actor Bell, who played Jason Pitts on the sports-themed comedy. It was just announced that he is joining the cast of the hit USA show, ‘Burn Notice.’
“He will likely still be able to work on ‘The Game,’ but only as a recurring character instead of being a series regular,” the source explained.
Once the deal is finalized, ‘The Game’ will begin production on new episodes in May and shoot on location in Atlanta.

The Chicago Tribune has great news this morning:
The entire senior class at Chicago’s only public all-male, all-African-American high school has been accepted to four-year colleges. At last count, the 107 seniors had earned spots at 72 schools across the nation.
Mayor Richard Daley and Chicago Public Schools chief Ron Huberman surprised students at an all-school assembly at Urban Prep Academy for Young Men in Englewood this morning to congratulate them. It’s the first graduating class at Urban Prep since it opened its doors in 2006.
“All of you in the senior class have shown that what matters is perseverance, what matters is focus, what matters is having a dream and following that dream,” Huberman said.
The school enforces a strict uniform of black blazers, khaki pants and red ties — with one exception. After a student receives the news he was accepted into college, he swaps his red tie for a red and gold one at an assembly.
The last 13 students received their college ties today, to thunderous applause.
Ask Rayvaughn Hines what college he was accepted to and he’ll answer with a question.
“Do you want me to name them all?”
For the 18-year-old from Back of the Yards, college was merely a concept–never a goal–growing up. Even within the last three years, he questioned if school, let alone college, was for him. Now, the senior is headed to the prestigious Morehouse College in Atlanta, Ga. next fall.
Hines remembers the moment he put on his red and gold tie.
“I wanted to take my time because I was just so proud of myself,” he said. “I wanted everyone to see me put it on.”
The achievement might not merit a mayoral visit at one of the city’s elite, selective enrollment high schools. But Urban Prep, a charter school that enrolls using a lottery in one of the city’s more troubled neighborhoods, faced difficult odds. Only 4 percent of this year’s senior class read at grade level as freshmen, according to Tim King, the school’s CEO.
“I never had a doubt that we would achieve this goal,” King said. “Every single person we hired knew from the day one that this is what we do: We get our kids into college.”
College is omnipresent at the school. Before the students begin their freshman year, they take a field trip to Northwestern University. Every student is assigned a college counselor the day he steps foot in the school.
The school offers an extended day–170,000 more minutes over four years compared to its counterparts across the city–and more than double the number of English credits usually needed to graduate.
Even the school’s voicemail has a student declaring “I am college bound” before it asks callers to dial an extension.
He went into his bedroom, told his well-wishing mother this was something he had to do alone, closed the door and logged in.
“Yes! Yes! Yes!” he remembers screaming. His mother, who didn’t dare stray far, burst in and began crying.
That night he made more than 30 phone calls, at times shouting “I got in” on his cell phone and home phone at the same time.
“We’re breaking barriers,” he said. “And that feels great.”

Shaunie spoke with Essence about Shaq:
Shaunie on when things started to go bad in her marriage:
[Shaq was traded to the Miami Heat] “Miami is a great city. It just wasn’t a great city for our marriage. I know they say L.A. has its groupies, but Miami has a different mentality. Even going to the games, the whole environment is so different. Girls are practically sitting in their bra and panties in the arena. When you’re trying to keep your husband, that’s a lot to take. It was a whole new lifestyle I wasn’t ready for. Apparently we didn’t have a strong enough foundation for Shaq to withstand that type of temptation.”
Shaunie on finally confronting Shaq about the infidelity rumors:
“He would deny it sometimes, and other times he would ask, ‘You got pictures? Video? If not, don’t come at me because you have no proof.’ “He’d say, ‘Okay, you’re mad. Now what? You’re not going anywhere.’
Shaunie on being accused of cheating on Shaq with her personal trainer:
“I worked out at home- with my trainer, my sister, her husband and my girlfriend. I was a good girl. I wouldn’t even entertain a man flirting with me. I was that conservative. But when those rumors came out, I felt I was so small and Shaq was so big that it didn’t matter what I said; nobody was going to believe me. All I was thinking was, How could this happen to me? I had no idea how I was going to pick up the pieces. I was just done.”
Shaunie on the state of her relationship with Shaq today:
“We are becoming friends, and it’s nice because it’s something we really lacked in our marriage. I enjoy being able to talk openly to him, and I think we both learned a lot from each other during this time.”

Usher covers Billboard Magazine:
“I went all the way into being super husband and super dad, thinking, ‘I’ve got to be serious all the time. I’ve got to be the man.’ I put my swagger down for a minute, but I didn’t throw it away, now it’s time to get it back.”
‘Papers’ let everyone know that Usher knew what everyone was saying about him, his marriage and his relationship with his mom; that he understood what was being said,” Pitts says. “It was just to make a statement. We didn’t realize it would be as big as it was.”
Usher adds, “The song wasn’t intended to glorify my personal situation or people breaking up. I didn’t know if it was going to be the single or part of the album. I just thought it was a special track that would represent me well.”
“I’ve come through a metamorphosis and I’m in my new skin,” the singer says as he rises up from the Centerstaging couch. “A lot of things have happened in the last few years that could have broke me, but I’m still standing; rejuvenated with a new peace, confidence and energy. I’ve got fire in my eyes.”

“He admitted to using cocaine, so he’s back in our jail,” said Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio. “I think it’s about time to give him hard time.” The get-tough sheriff said if the rapper is serious about kicking his drug habit, the Arizona jail system — where X has already logged time on animal cruelty and drug possession charges — could help him get clean.
“We do have a great drug prevention program in the jail, so if he stays in our jail system I will consider (letting) him go through our program,” Arpaio said. In June, DMX, 39, was sentenced to more than a year of probation after pleading guilty in May to attempted aggravated assault for throwing a food tray at a jail officer, an incident that occurred while X was in jail serving a 90-day sentence for felony theft, drug possession and animal cruelty.
According to a Reuters report, the rapper told his probation officer that he’d been regularly using illegal drugs over the past nine months and had not complied with the terms of his treatment plan.
X was given 18 months of supervised probation and ordered to pay fines upon his release in May. Arpaio said after arresting DMX five times, he’s eager to see the rapper do some serious time in an Arizona jail.

Police in Gary, Indiana were called to the scene of a concert headlined by Waka Flocka Flame Friday after a fight broke out leaving 8 people shot and injured.
According to the Post-Tribune a hype man for Waka Flocka might be to blame for the incident. The unidentified man took to the stage at World of Skates before the rapper came and reportedly pitted the eastside of the city versus the west side.
That’s when police say fighting ensued and patrons were told to leave.
Shots were fired outside of the club leaving Shaquille Hughes, 15, shot in the right side; Marcus Ratliff, 14, shot in the right wrist; Justin Bodley, 16, shot in the leg; Junan Washington, 18, shot in left ankle; DaVonte Biddings, 16, shot once in the back; Marquel Croock, 16, shot in the stomach; Kesean Philon, 14, shot in the left leg; and Stephan Danzy, 17, shot in the left leg
One of the teens says the shooter was a Black man holding a rifle. He reportedly wore a red hat and had dread locks.

Check out Kanye’s latest blog entry where he speaks on growing as an artist all while dealing with hurt and pain…
I’m on the plane listening to The College Dropout. It brings back so many memories. When we made it, I had all 6 parents, 4 grandparents and my mom and dad. Now I have my dad and my grandfather. Music is so nostalgic. Every song I listen to brings me back to when I first played them for my mom, when I first played them for Dame, when I first played them for Jay, When I first played them for Kweli, When I first played them for my n*ggas back in Chi, When the album first came out, When I first called Ebro from Hot 97 and begged him to play Through The Wire, When DJ Pharris blew me up in the Chi.
We used to be the n*ggas rocking polo shirts, Louie backpacks, paper denim jeans and exclusive Adidas from Sporty LA. We were the Underdogs. I never feel like I’m not the Underdog. I never felt completely comfortable. I’m tormented by the need to create. With the loss of McQueen I feel like we lost one of the faces of modern creativity’s Mount Rushmore. There were times that the only thing that kept me on this earth was the need and responsibility to create. Maybe McQueen felt his job was done because his last collection was the greatest of the decade. We are all so hurt. I know we’re selfish because he brought us so much joy and inspiration.
I know how it feels when the night demons come. We can’t let them control our hands and feet. Sometimes when it hurts so bad we have to just lay in the bed. Just lay in bed and don’t move Please, I know how it feels. I wish McQueen could have just been still. Don’t let the psychiatrists give you their drugs because it slows down your wings. Society and public opinion can beat the wings off of angels. When God sees they can’t take it anymore, he brings them home.
During this new album process sometimes I turn the music up and drink and cry. When something sounds so amazing and ground-breaking, I’m reminded of Why I live. I drink the pain of Now 2 Generations and breathe our melodies and messages. The music keeps us alive. I was blessed with the opportunity to bring my and others dreams to life. It’s like performing magic or something. It’s surreal. We bring the unrealistic to reality. Go Hard Go Hard Go Hard echoes in my dreams. When I wake up and brush my teeth and look in the mirror it’s like I see Michael and My Mom and Malcolm…Who’s that African in the background Mom? Oh, He created the original layouts for the pyramids, But was written out the history books and his MTV Award was given to “Aliens”.
There’s no such thing as fact anymore.

According to LATimes, Lil Wayne is chillin’ at home or in the studio right now.
Lil Wayne’s trip to prison has been delayed yet again, thanks to a fire in the courthouse where he was to appear for sentencing Tuesday.
On Feb. 9, the rapper got a reprieve so he could tend to some dental work. On Tuesday, he was inbound on a plane from Miami to New York when a smoky basement fire shut the courthouse down for the day. It took an hour to get the flames under control, and five firefighters, two civilians and a prisoner were hurt.
Lil Wayne had already posted a farewell of sorts Monday night on Twitter: “yesterday i smiled, today i smirked, tomorrow i stop………………………..thanks for your thoughts and prayers, they’re needed.”
The rapper’s been crazy-busy in the weeks leading up to what’s expected to be a year in prison, shooting nine videos in a 48-hour stretch before the last delay.
Imagine what he could get done in New York between now and Wednesday morning.
