Rev. Al Sharpton and Lisa Raye is Hollywood's newest couple? Get the F out of here!!
The two recently appeared at Roland Martin's Congressional Black Caucus party in Washington D.C and were reportedly holding hands and coupled up something serious. As if the thought of those two together wasn't bad enough, we hear that Al is Lisa's spiritual adviser and aiding in helping her with her spirituality. Source
Al Sharpton hosted WWE's Monday Night RAW last night. We wonder if wrestling is the only thing Al is doing RAW...
Somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.
R&B singer LlOYD has cut ties with his high school pal CIARA because he's convinced finding fame has changed her for the worst. The star befriended the Goodies hitmaker when they were both teenagers living in Atlanta, Georgia but Lloyd admits he has since lost touch with Ciara, hinting her ego has gotten the better of her. Lloyd tells Hip Hop Weekly:
"I don't f**k with Hollywood b**ches and she's like one of the chicks that's just changed along the way with the fame and the money and all of that. I don't really get down with her anymore on some real s**t. The truth hurts, but it will set you free. But I wish her all the best." Source
Mashonda, the wife of rapper/producer Swizz Beatz, recently vented her frustrations on her husbands mistress and friend Alicia Keys all over her Twitter profile. Check out what this chick had to say...
After having a great evening with my son and enjoying some fun twit chat, I decided to sign off and get some work done. However, a few hours later I was advised that I should check @aliciakeys twit page. I've never reached out to her on twitter before. I feel our issues are a lot more serious than a website conversation. Not to mention that I've reached out to her many times in the beginning of this whole thing, as any wife would do. Unfortunately, I never succeeded in getting a response. The 1st time I meet AK, my husband introduced us to each other at an event. ( I have no choice but to call him my husband, until he is not anymore) In the messages that I sent to her (AK), I made it very clear that on the contrary of what she might be hearing, I am still married to my husband, living with him and just had a child. Its been two years and I still have not received a response. What I do receive, is constant displays of selfishness and disconcern to me and my son.
I was a fan of AK's last album, we were both signed to J Records and I always checked up on her projects. I sang her songs and admired her for creating Superwoman and Karma, I would never deny her, her talent. I believed in her until I found out she was possibly sleeping with my husband. The affair was denied by both, until it was finally admitted months later.
Already I can hear some of you saying " why are u blaming her, You cant make someone leave their wife, You cant break something thats broken". Well, my marriage was not broken, as far as I knew we were celebrating our sons birth and getting ready to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary . Call it blind love, whatever. I call it being a devoted wife.. As far as me blaming her and not blaming him, thats false. Me and my husband have worked out our differences. We are in a good place as people and as parents. I accept his choices and I am comfortable enough with myself to move on. I am so very blessed in many ways.
My concern with AK is no longer the fact that she assisted in destroying a family but that she has the audacity to make these selfish comments about love and wanting to be with someone, even after knowing their situation. How is this the same Superwoman that I sang out loud with in my truck? I ask myself sometimes. If you are reading this Alicia, let me start by saying, you know what you did. You know the role you played and you know how you contributed to the ending of my marriage. You know that I asked you to step back and let me handle my family issues. Issues that you helped to create.
Im not saying everything was perfect all the time but no relationship is perfect. We made a vow to God and I believe you should have respected that, as a woman. I know you owe me or my son nothing but I just wish you would've handled things more carefully. I'm not judging you, I put you and the whole situation in the hands of God, the Higher Power. Just know that as a woman, I expected so much more from you. I never had intentions on reaching out to you this way but after reading your twits tonight, and the constant disregard, you left me no choice. I feel that after 1 and a half years of you hiding this affair and acting like it doesnt exist, that now is the time to confront it, since you talk so openly about it now
This is not a publicity stunt, I dont have a record coming out. I just need to close this chapter in my life and that means confronting our issues. There is a small child involved. His dad loves him to death and he wants to spend more time with him but hes afraid because he knows we don't have a relationship. This is my main concern. My son NEEDS his dad and I NEED to be comfortable with you. For him!
I know many will see my point and many will not be able to look into what's real because they only want to see Alicia Keys the celebrity, not the human. This is not for the "people", this is for you. Like I said I was left no choice but to reach out to you this way. By now, Im sure you want to find a balance in this as well.
I read your tweets tonight and I felt they were very insensitive. You have no idea how much pain I was caused because of this affair. Its baffling to me that you don't understand what I might have gone through with this situation. I dont consider myself a victim anymore, Ive learned alot from this! I just ask you to try and be a bit more realistic and delicate to the situation, at least until my divorce is final. I felt me attending the party would have been a starting point for us, since you shook my hand after I offered it, but I suppose I was wrong.
If its so, that you and my husband are meant to be together, then God bless you both and I hope you never have to deal with what I did. I would not wish it on my worst enemy. If you two being together forever is the case, its more of a reason for us to get along, because I'm not going anywhere. Theres a child to be raised.
To answer your tweet, choose smart over spark. Sparks burn everyone, be smart! Its simple actually, just think of the shoe being on the other foot.
Stay blessed and lets work this thing out with respect and dignity.
Chris Brown returns with his first performance after conviction:
Chris Brown has scheduled his first official live performance since his February 8th altercation with Rihanna - after which he pleaded guilty to assault and was sentenced to probation and community labor - booking a slot at New York hip-hop station Power 105's Powerhouse concert on October 27th at New Jersey's Izod Center. As Rolling Stone previously reported, Brown made a cameo during Lil Wayne's America's Most Wanted tour stop in Virginia, filling in for the injured Drake, but the Powerhouse concert marks the first time Brown's name will officially feature on the bill. The-Dream, Fabolous, Keri Hilson, Trey Songz, Mario and Ginuwine will also play the Powerhouse.
According to MTV, the concert will allow Brown to promote "Transformer," the first single off his upcoming album Graffiti. The Swizz Beatz-produced track, which also features a guest spot from Lil Wayne, is expected out soon. Brown was also (incorrectly) named among the performers at Jermaine Jackson's planned Michael Jackson tribute in Vienna on September 26th, but Brown denied he would be appearing and Jermaine inevitably delayed and moved the concert to June 2010 in London. So the government concocts this man-made disease bioengineered in government facilities then scoops up a vaccine to help prevent from getting the AIDS infection? Interesting....
BANGKOK - For the first time, an experimental vaccine has prevented infection with the AIDS virus, a watershed event in the deadly epidemic and a surprising result. Recent failures led many scientists to think such a vaccine might never be possible.
The World Health Organization and the U.N. agency UNAIDS said the results "instilled new hope" in the field of HIV vaccine research, although researchers say it likely is many years before a vaccine might be available.
The vaccine - a combination of two previously unsuccessful vaccines - cut the risk of becoming infected with HIV by more than 31 percent in the world's largest AIDS vaccine trial of more than 16,000 volunteers in Thailand, researchers announced Thursday in Bangkok.
Even though the benefit is modest, "it's the first evidence that we could have a safe and effective preventive vaccine," Col. Jerome Kim told The Associated Press. He helped lead the study for the U.S. Army, which sponsored it with the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
The institute's director, Dr. Anthony Fauci, warned that this is "not the end of the road," but he said he was surprised and very pleased by the outcome.
"It gives me cautious optimism about the possibility of improving this result" and developing a more effective AIDS vaccine, Fauci said. "This is something that we can do." Source
In an upcoming interview that will air on Trevor Nelson's BBC radio show next week, Jay-Z once again addressed Kanye West's antics during the 2009 VMA's but also spoke on rapper 50 Cent.
During the interview, Jay-Z stated that he believed was rude for snatching the microphone from country singer Taylor Swift during her acceptance speech for Best Female Video.
West felt the award should have went to Jay-Z‘s wife, Beyonce Knowles for her hit video "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)."
Although Jay-Z agreed that West was rude he stated that Kanye West "wasn't wrong."
Jay-Z seemed to become a little irritated during the interview, when Nelson suggested that Kanye was picking his battles and would not have grabbed the microphone from a rapper like 50 Cent.
In a recent interview, 50 Cent stated he would have assaulted Kanye West in the same situation.
"I wish he could come take one of my awards so I could black his eye in front of everybody," 50 Cent stated.
"I think he would have done that if that was 50 Cent," Jay-Z told Nelson during the interview. "No one is scared of 50 Cent. I want everyone to be clear. No one is scared of 50 Cent."
50 also recently took a shot at Jay-Z when he name checked him and labeled him as "Urkel" in the video for "Flight 187."
Jay-Z also revealed that he chastised West for interrupting Taylor Swift's speech, which caused worldwide uproar.
People ranging from celebrities to President Barack Obama and former U.S. President Jimmy Carter have weighed in on the controversy.
"I just think that that's what he believed," Jay-Z told Trevor Nelson. "I thought it was rude I though it was inappropriate and I told him as much. But I don't think he was wrong."
Jay-Z is currently gearing up for a performance on Friday, October 9 at Penn State University. Source
If you know chance, real name Kamal Givens, then you know that he likes to talk a lot...a whole lot!
There comes a time in everyone's life when he/she must take the time to step out of reality for a second, take a hard look in the mirror and reevaluate the direction his/her life is taking them.
In the case of Chance, from Real Chance of Love, the alleged rapper has set his crosshairs on 50 Cent. Reports have shown that the reality star had quite some words for the Queens rapper:
"50 cent you a b***h n***a when you seen me at the vma 09 it was all fun and games. Kanye West might still be under fire for his controversial act on MTV, but the ranting rapper could be looking at plenty of praise from BET next month.
West has received nine nominations for the fourth annual BET Hip-Hop Awards, which will be televised Oct. 27. The rapper caused a stir Sunday after he interrupted 19-year-old country singer Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards.
The 32-year-old West's latest album, "808&Heartbreak," has sold over a million copies.
Jay-Z and Lil Wayne drew the second-most nominations with seven apiece, while T.I. received six nods.
The network will also recognize veteran rapper Ice Cube with the "I Am Hip-Hop" icon award. The show will be hosted by comedian Mike Epps. Source: AccessHollywood
Willie Taylor of Day 26 is the latest celebrity to have nude photos of himself leaked to the Web. On Wednesday (September 16), photos of Taylor popped up on the gossip Web sites.
Taylor sent out a statement saying that the pictures were private and meant solely for his spouse's viewing.
"It has been brought to my attention that private and personal photos of mine are currently circulating the web," Taylor said in the statement. "As a man that is barely home with his family, my wife and I share some intimate moments the best way that we can. It is incredibly disturbing that someone with bad intentions would illegally hack into my e-mail account and distribute these private moments to the world. I ask that everyone respect the privacy of my family. Also, I offer my sincere apologies to my fans."
Taylor's relationship with his wife and son and the toll his busy schedule takes on them was a subject of an episode of "Making the Band" last season. Taylor and his group are back in the lab working on a new LP. Source: MTV

We can officially say that this might be the worst week that has ever gone down in Kanye West' career. Even the President has a few words for Mr. West after watching his rants on stage while he stole Taylor Swift's spotlight at the 2009 VMA's...
During a CNBC interview on Monday, President Obama called Kanye West a "jackass" regarding his behavior at the MTV Video Music Awards. Obama's colorful remark was actually made in an off-the-record portion of the interview that was tweeted - and then deleted - by ABC News reporter Terry Moran. Source: Huffington Post
The Cash Money rapper memorably revealed the birth of his second child during the 2008 BET Hip-Hop Awards, during a rambling acceptance speech. And now right before the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, it's been confirmed Weezy is officially a father for the third time.
A representative for Lauren London confirmed to MTV News on Sunday (September 13) that London gave birth on Wednesday, along with information in a statement released Saturday to HipHollywood.com.
"Lauren London and Dwayne Carter welcomed their healthy baby boy into the world on 09-09-09," the rep said in a released statement. "Everyone is happy and well." Source: MTV
Congrats Lauren and Weezy! Let's bow our heads and pray that baby Carter gets his looks from mommy.
Oh and let's not forget about Nivea who's due next month!
Chris Brown seems to be a bit surprised that Oprah has not yet settled with his apologies. Here is what Breezy said in a recent interview about his "relationship" with the O.
"I commend Oprah on being like, ‘This (abuse) is a problem', but it was a slap in my face. I did a lot of stuff for her, like going to Africa and performing for her school. She could have been more helpful, like, ‘OK, I'm going to help both of these people out," Chris told PEOPLE last week.
That all sounds understandable but Oprah is STILL NOT HAVING IT with Chris. She insists that domestic violence is nothing to ever look past. What Chris did was nice and all but to sum things up, she doesn't give a DAMN!
She tells Access Hollywood: "So this is what happened; Chris Brown did my show several years ago, I think it was 2007. Fun, fun time and afterward he said, ‘If there's anything ever I can do for you then let me know.' I almost never take anybody up on that... But my girls at the Academy in Africa love Chris Brown, love, love, love, love, love Chris Brown."
"He said he would go and I had him and his whole team come over and they performed for my girls at the Academy and it was so fantastic. Five girls fainted... needed oxygen from the nurses... The next day they taught a hip-hop dance class, it was all really great... we all hugged and thanked (him) and all that, and gave a small honorarium because that's what the school could afford... and all was well," she added.
"I'm still very happy that he came to the school, still very happy about that. (They are) two separate issues. So when Chris Brown issued a statement saying that he felt that I, because he had come to my school I should have, you know, been defending him... They're two separate issues. I really am grateful that he came to the school. (But) domestic violence is something that I wouldn't tolerate. Period."
Oprah Winfrey says her blockbuster sit-down with Whitney Houston is "the best interview I've ever done."
However, Winfrey isn't telling folks exactly what Houston says - yet.
Houston does talk about her marriage to Bobby Brown, drugs, rehab and how her family saved her.
"My approach to this interview was to not be judgmental in any way, and not to go in trying to get her to say things to make a ‘moment,'" Winfrey says in comments released by the show. "I just wanted to be able to have an honest conversation with her. One woman to another woman. And the day of the interview, I literally prayed about that all day long. I just wanted a connection between the two of us. And that is what happened. And that is why I believe it's one of the most, if not the most, powerful interviews I've ever done. I can't think of a moment, ever, when I had a stronger connection to the person I was interviewing," Winfrey says. Source: NYDailyNews
Media sources are claiming that Houston spoke on her heavy drug use and how she wore Pajamas for 7 months straight.
You don't want to miss this episode.....
The interview will air Monday and Tuesday and will be seen locally on WABC/Channel 7 at 4 p.m.
Seems as if T-Pain is switching gears and playing the "Victim" role now. He called into the Power 105 Morning show with Ed Lover and Free this morning to talk about his beef with Jay-Z. This is what he said:
This aint the first time I done said it. Nothing has changed. I called Jay and I said can you come out on my set [during Summer Jam] and do the D.O.A song, it'll be a big look for me and you. I embrace the song, I love the song and don't get me wrong Jay-z is the best in the game period. I would never say anything different. At that time he said "yo I'm triple booked, I'm in Switzerland right now, I can't do it". Then I'm ready to go on stage after Jeezy set and they said "hold on, Jay-z is about to come out with Jeezy" and I said " Jay-z is in switzerland". They say "no he's not, he's right there" and I look to the side and there's Jay-z. So he gets on the stage and when he gets to the part where he says "I don't need anyone smiling at this" he pointed at me and then at the end of the song when I tried to shake his hand, he turned around, gave the mic to someone and said "good riddance".
According to many sources, Janet will be doing a spectacular tribute to her brother for the VMA's this year!
Now that Michael Jackson's body has finally been laid to rest, it looks like his sister Janet Jackson is planning to pull out all the stops for a one-time tribute to the King of Pop at next weekend's MTV Video Music Awards.
According to TMZ, Janet and her crew of around 20 backup dancers have been rehearsing around the clock - up to 15 hours in a single day - for Sunday night's annual awards spectacle.
Janet, who has remained relatively quiet in the wake of her family's tragic loss, is reportedly working on the tribute with some of the world's top choreographers, including Frank Gatson and Travis Payne.
One dancer involved in the project tells TMZ "there won't be a dry eye in the house" at the end of the number.
You'll just have to wait until Sunday, Sept. 13 to see for yourself. Source: OKMagazine
According to rapper Fabolous, T-Pain recently hosted a Las Vegas nightclub where he held no punchlines about how he felt for the auto-tune killer Jigga!
Fabo was at the event and this is what he said via twitter:
@MyFabolousLife: Yo I'm at Rehab in Vegas.. T-Pain is DJ'ing.. Sayin Fuck JayZ, he old, blah blah.. guess its backlash from D.O.A..
So I'm here wit Rihanna, @richyungamerica, & @paulcainsf.. Drinkin some strawberry/daquiri's.. Not feelin the Tpain JayZ dissing.. Brooklyn!
Newsflash: they jus played D.O.A. Right after he got off.. Wowwwwwwww!!
We are months past D.O.A. and T-Pain now has something to say? What happened at Summer Jam? Jigga performed on stage and T-Pain was right beside him singing along. Why say nothing then?
For the last several years, T-Pain's Auto-Tune centered sound has dominated the Hip-Hop and R&B markets.
Now, the popular songwriter will bring that technology to the iPhone via a partnership with Antares Audio Technologies. Dubbed "I Am T-Pain," the phone app will give the user the full capabilities of the Auto-Tune technology.
With it, fans can record their own versions of T-Pain hits like "Bartender," "Dream Girl," and "I'm Sprung."
Once completed, the user can upload their songs to various social networking sites like Facebook and Youtube.
With Auto-Tune still immensely popular among artists, Antares marketing VP Marco Alpert argued that Jay-Z's "Death of Auto-Tune" proclamation was premature, and failed to factor in how the tool has solidified itself in this generation's music consciousness.
"It's been great working with all of the incredibly talented people at Smule, and with T-Pain and Nappy Boy Enterprises to bring I Am T-Pain to the iPhone," Alpert told AllHipHop.com. "T-Pain's hugely successful use of the Auto-Tune Vocal Effect has made it one of the signature vocal sounds of our time, so it's especially gratifying to be able to make the authentic T-Pain experience available to anyone with an iPhone. Maybe not so dead after all, huh?"
At press time, T-Pain is finishing up work on his fourth album UBER, the follow-up to his 2008 gold-selling LP Thr33 Ringz.
The "I Am T-Pain" app is available now for purchase at the iTunes iPhone App Store.
Jay-Z recently spoke with Oprah on the return to his childhood home in Brooklyn's Marcy Housing Projects.
Jay-Z On His Days As A Teenage Drug Dealer... Jay-Z: "It was natural..." Winfrey: "Because drug dealers were your role models. There wasn't a teacher or lawyer or nurse of doctor or and accountant in the neighborhood?" Jay-Z: "Well, we were living in Marcy by then, so no. And if anyone did become something like that, they moved out. They never came back to share the wisdom of how they made it. If anyone made it, you never knew it. That's why I've always said that if I become successful, I'd come back here, grab somebody, and show him how it can be done."
Jay-Z On The N-Word... Winfrey: "Do you believe that using the N word is necessary?" Jay-Z: "Nothing is necessary. It's just become part of the way we communicate. My generation hasn't had the same experience with that word that generations of people before us had. We weren't so close to the pain. So in our way, we disarmed the word. We took the fire pin out of the grenade."
Jay-Z On Beyonce... Winfrey: "Can I ask how in the world you kept your wedding a secret?" Jay-Z: "Late planning!" Winfrey: "How many people knew?" Jay-Z: "Very few. The sad part is that we offended some. But people who love you understand. Because at the end of the day, it's your day."
We couldn't be happier for this adorable little family....
Halle Berry suffered through the disappointment of more than 30 negative pregnancy tests before finally learning she was expecting her first child, Nahla, in 2007. Luckily, she's had more success with her follow-up attempts to have a baby: Life & Style can exclusively reveal that the actress, who turned 43 on Aug. 14, is three months pregnant with her second child.
"Halle is overjoyed," says an insider close to Halle and the baby's father, model Gabriel Aubry. "The first time, she struggled so much to get pregnant and eventually conceived through in vitro fertilization. This time, the baby was conceived through artificial insemination."
"She's just ecstatic to be pregnant again," the insider tells Life & Style. "She wasn't sure if she'd have another baby, so she's very happy!" A rep for Halle didn't respond to a request for comment.
