Gas Is Cheap, Lets Celebrate!

Beezy Published in st. louissocietyRadio RoperformancesMoney Mattersgas pricesBeezy by Beezy | Comment (0)

gas pricesYes gas is cheap once again, i havent seen these prices since i was startin college in 2000. I filled up my tank the day before yesterday at about $1.70 a gallon, and the pump stopped at $28! i was dumbfounded.  I wanted to go inside and bitch slap the gas attendant for making me so happy. lol

This mornin i heard on the news that gas was around $1.40 at a quicktrip somewhere in St. Louis and people was waiting in long lines to try to fill up as if it was a 2hr sale. But thats the real question... HOW LONG WILL THIS LAST? The prices aren't going to keep going down forever..  I suspect most people dont even want to think about it - they just want to make sure they get the gas cheap while it lasts. Niggaz can finally dust off the escalade and start rollin around the streets, and flossin with no place to go.  People will start getting mid or high grade gas again because they can finally afford to put it in their luxury car.  Parents all over the country wont mind wasting gas on their 16yr olds teaching them how to drive...

Everybodys happy, lets just throw a party at the gas station and celebrate, Radio Ro can headline a performance. lol

The Loudest Mute

JDubb Published in The Loudest MutesocietyRadio RoJoe LouisJ Dubb by JDubb | Comment (0)

okay  so i dont know if you have ever felt like this, but i am going to share this with you...

Have you ever felt like the world made you their "genny gig". you see its kinda like you have all these wonderful ideas, comments, songs, sayings, qutoes, styles or "what have yous"... and you have them 1 st! and then when you do finally unfoil them or they leak out somehow...and to make matter worse  your looked at as either a social reject...or even worse than that like no one even saw or heard what you did at all... later to find that when someone else down the line ( i mean it could even be years down the line too.) who just happens to be deemed "hot " or "it" does it... they are looked at as if they are Jesus or something, or like they discovered it 1st(like christopher columbus) ... it bothers me... right Kanye LOL

so i have always wondered. is the world really that bandwagon~ish. are people that unorginal for an example: diddy used the word bitchassness and people looked at him like he was light years ahead of being clever. uhhhh i mean it was cool when said, but really it got too outta hand... i mean DPP alone, for an example has said countless quotes, that had me left an awe and pure amazement (true story LOL) so i wonder do you have to be a superstar of some sort and always in the media to say someting kinda cool for it to impact this mindless world on a ... "oh WoW!" ..." he just changed my life crap..."  what is this type of deal or do you atleast  have to be the popular kid in school. LOL

i mean i could go on and on... ( that's what she said ...LOL... see ) especailly about this when it comes to this music world.  in this for instance my cousin heard a track i was doing... now she really doesnt trip off my stuff i and i dont have a problem with it... ( do you... LOL...  couldn't help it  ) but she wanted me to make her a mix cd of all the new songs that was out at the time. so i decided to sneak some of our songs on there... one of the songs  she really like was Joe Louis song "Im so HoT".  she was bumping that all day, like Louis from the South Side LOL so she came to  me, when her friends was asking who it was because they thought it was some Jeezy clubbing callibo or something LOL. now she is a proud listener of the RO... i asked her why she never listened to any of my stuff before hand and she said "well, i just figured once it gets on the radio i'd check it out. "

disappointing to say the least, but i must say i am optimistic atleast she said "once" it gets on the radio...  so i guess i' ll just keep this wheel spinning so i can continue to come up with cool new shit that wont be hot until somebody cool says it... right Pharell...  thus my reason for being the loudest mute LOL

love , genny pig

How do you feel about the hip hop awards?

DPP Published in Rotationistsradio rotationistsRadio Romusichip hop awardship hop by DPP | Comment (0)

I think it was a good idea that went the wrong direction. The premise was good but the show is too heavily influenced on who's doing what for BET at the time. Its not about who is really deserving of the awards, it's more of a popularity contest.

For instance, Wayne wins Lyricist of the year....LYRICISTS...Wayne can spit but we all know he ain't saying nothing about nothing. Especially against the likes of Nas, Lupe, Common, etc. That's where the show leans to favoritism.

Now they do a good job of mixing a relevant award or two in there like the "I am Hip Hop" award that goes to legends in the game and their tribute performances but that's where it ends.

As I stated, it's a good idea that needs to be redirected on the right path.

Tell us a little bit about "Lyrical Lessons"?

DPP Published in Rotationistsradio rotationistsRadio RoLyrical LessonsJoe Louiship hopAJ the Sensation by DPP | Comment (0)

The "Lyrical Lessons" album is a strong follow up to what we started with the "Resurgence". We wanted to continue to lay the ground work on what, we consider, quality hip hop is. The definition of "Lyrical Lessons" is basically showing rappers the way to make good music that's saying something without compromising who the artist is.

We keep it simple by making the album only 10 tracks but it is timeless lyricism from start to finish. Joe Louis produced the majority of the album with J-Dubb assisting with, what I feel, are two classic hit singles. The only features are Joe louis on two tracks, "Till the end of time" and another track yet to be finished.

We assure you that if you liked "16 Bars-The Resurgence", you definitely will enjoy "Lyrical Lessons".

Politics, Society, Hip Hop and Hope

Beezy Published in votestate of hip hopsocietyRadio RopoliticsobamaInfluenceship hopBeezy by Beezy | Comment (0)

More and more, we are beginning to see hip hop and politics come to the Obamaforefront of music, artists talking about real issues and encouraging the listening audience (many black youth) to put faith back into the system and vote for the change so many have been waiting for.

jeezy and obamaRappers tend to love him -- or at least the basic idea of a black man in the White House. They understand him, they can see his dream for the future and his positive campaign, and overwhelming success is unrivaled by any other in history.  Pro-Obama rap songs and references are arriving in droves, and online video endorsements are arriving just as quickly, from "Yes We Can" a song put together by Will.I.Am featuring John Legend, all the way to hip hop stars, Young Jeezy and Nas with "My President is Black.

Ludacris with his contriversial "Politics" praising Obama, calling Hillary a bitch, saying John McCain should be in a wheelchair, not the White House, and declaring that President Bush "is mentally handicapped."

A remix of Ice Cube's "Gangsta Rap Made Me Do It," mentions Barack on which Scarface raps: "I hope that Barack could pull the troops from Iraq."Obama and Ludacris

On "Black Republicans," a song from Lil Wayne's mix tape "Da Drought 3," guest Juelz Santana raps: "I'm feelin' like a black Republican / Naw, I can't call it / More like a black Democrat runnin' 'em out of office / Young Barack Obama, I'm all for it."

Obama and DiddyThree 6 Mafia's "Last 2 Walk" includes the couplet, "There's a whole lotta room in the front of the Range / Like Barack Obama said, yeah it's time for a change."

Common, a rapper from Obama's home base of Chicago, has invoked the senator's name repeatedly, as in "The People," in which he declares: "My raps ignite the people like Obama." On a remix of the Jadakiss song "Why?," Common wonders: "Why is Bush acting like he trying to get Osama? / Why don't we impeach him and elect Obama?"

And in a recent freestyle, Jay-Z -- who is always using analogies to cast himself as hip-hop's microphone commander in chief -- concluded: "I'm signing off as the hood's Barack."

Its true that Barack inspired us all, and it shows in our music, ideas, and our actions.  I hope that because of this, we can strive to be a better people, I hope we can stop killing each other, and I hope... i just hope we can take an hour out of our day on Nov 4th and make it to the polls and vote for the change that we so desperately need.

Why did you title your album 16 Bars-The Resurgence?

DPP Published in ResurgenceRadio Rohip hopAsk DPP16 Bars by DPP | Comment (0)

Me and Joe Louis were in the booth one night and we were just talking about how we hate the radio and nobody says nothing in they songs anymore. We was like, "cats don't even spit 16 bars", they just repeat themselves and yell out ad libs.

So we was like let's make a whole album with 16 tracks and 16 bars each verse like cats did in the 80's and 90's. Since everybody was yelling hip hop is dead, we was like lets bring it back...The Resurgence. From there, it took off and we made a classic in our eyes. Hot beats, tight verses, and we saying something...what more do you want.

I mean you be the judge, download it from WWW.RADIOROSTL.COM right after reading this, it's Free, lol. We giving away classics cause we do this for the love of music. The money will come cause we hot. Plus we got other classics on deck, so hate if you want to but you'll only be wasting your time.
